- Stab wounds are seen, including a sharp item removed from a character's hand and a character stabbed through the neck, and reference to another stabbing in a school (not seen). A child has bruises considered non-accidental by an attending medic. Minor physical confrontations with pushing. Stronger fights including characters bludgeoned into unconsciousness or worse, using various weapons. A character is cut with a scalpel, and a patch of skin and flesh torn away from his conscious body.
- A child is shot offscreen, but blood seeps under a door. An abused and seriously injured child (implied broken limbs) is found trapped in an enclosed space. It is heavily implied an adult intends to kill them.
Profanity

- Fags, piss, shitty and fuck, or variants, but infrequent. I believe fags is the only one repeated, although I wasn't counting.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- Some drinking - most explicitly when a character picks up a bottle of clear spirit in a shop and takes a mouthful before going to pay. This character later offers wine to another character, but it is not a significant feature.
- A character jokes about working better after 'a couple of lines', and is later asked if he is high. Characters are injected with medical-grade drugs, once for good reasons, once maliciously. Not a major theme.
