CAPTIVE FACTORY GIRLS: THE VIOLATION is another great title for a nondescript Japanese pinku (read: erotic) thriller made on a very tight budget. This one's a little better than most thanks to a more involved storyline than usual depicting the plight of young women forced to labour in a dim and grubby factory. It's very much a voyeuristic piece with the director focusing throughout on young woman wearing tight string tops and the like, and the story is reminiscent of a prison movie with scenes of animosity and violence between the workers. The male characters are sleazy beyond belief. As usual, the version available on Amazon Prime is shorn of all the sex and violence, apart from a brief snippet at the closing credits which they forgot to remove.

Poorly made "crowd pleaser" soft porn

The Japanese soft porn films of the '60s are great fun to watch and have acquired a devoted following 40 years later. Recent attempts to tap this audience are generally embarrassing, witness CAPTIVE FACTORY GIRLS.
The patina of a gritty "slice of life" movie is applied to this assembly-line video, showing sexy girls as more-or-less indentured servants toiling in a factory. The men are crude and violent, the girls low-down and catty, and the soft sex perfunctory.
Yet clearly there are fans out there panting for this product, which escapes the porn tag merely by definition -the level of explicitness is so tame. Amazon and in some cases netflix accept these titles readily, so they are not relegated to the XXX ghetto.
The leading femmes are attractive without being beautiful, and sequels (plus imitations) were also made, but my curiosity for the genre was more than satisfied, in a negative way, by this entry.
