This is the only episode in the series to depict the hosts seated behind a rectangular table. The round table that was purchased for the show did not arrive until days after this episode was shot.
A misunderstanding of the audio recorder being used to record four separate microphones during the roundtable discussion resulted in only one mic actually recording sound (despite it showing proper levels to the crew member tasked with recording it). As a result, this episode is plagued with poor audio, much of which had to be sourced from the camera mics or the one working microphone. The YouTube description of the episode features this disclaimer: "This pilot episode is sadly full of audio issues, so PLEASE don't be too harsh about it, future episodes will sound superlative. Ok, decent, they'll sound decent."
M.F. Dinan recommends Neon Maniacs (1986) at the end of the episode. He previously recommended the same movie at the end of The Monster Club (2015).
This is the only episode in the series where the hosts selected just one theme from the "hollow skull". Future episodes depict each host drawing a theme, with the host whose movie won choosing the next episode's theme from those drawn.
