NUDE NOT was shot during a weekend in February 2000 on 16mm with Ilford Black & White film using the Arriflex SR2. The house location was in the Cabbagetown neighborhood of Toronto. There was also an interior scene (cigarette smoking) shot at the Hart House Cafeteria (University of Toronto.) Thomas Lundy (the writer, director, actor and producer) obtained a film grant from the Hart House film board to make NUDE NOT and won the Best First Film prize in March 2000. NUDE NOT is satirical, indirectly making the point that non-sexual nudity ought to be unremarkable and ordinary (it's a mental thing.) Lundy conceived the idea in July 1999, writing the script in a moment of inspiration. After finding the actresses (one of them, Alexis, is Lundy's sister), the four of them rehearsed nude periodically in a room at Hart House. Finally NUDE NOT was televised for a year between 2000 and 2001 in France, Mauritius, Monaco and Switzerland on Canal+ and screened at several film festivals including Molodist in Kiev, Ukraine.
