After his previous attempt at returning to TV in Aaron Sorkin penned drama 'Studio 60' was axed it was no surprise to see Matthew Perry return to comedy.
And this show, set in a sports arena, was a lot of fun. This pilot is perhaps a fine example of this show at it's best.
Perry is ably supported by Allison Janney as his crazy boss, and there are lots of good (very Matthew Perry-esque) jokes.
The problem this episode and indeed the series faced though was that although we understand the trigger for his drive to become a better man, no real reason why Perry's character was so down and out in the first place.
I like this show though, and this episode was a good start.
