Pippa breezes into the show like she's never been away and although the idea of her looking after Annie and Geoff is a bit of a puzzler, her playing peacemaker between them and Belle and offering Annie a sounding board shows just how much we've missed her.Annie is on fine form, needling Geoff and then getting a rather sweet sibling scene when she apologises, and supporting Belle and even Belle and Geoff get one of their all too rare moments.Aden doesn't really need to be in the episode, mainly contributing a letter to Belle in which he breaks up with her.Again.One of these days they're going to realise there's a reason for it.
Miles and especially Kirsty put in a poor showing as Trey continues to make false claims against them.Jai's attempt at revenge however gives Miles a chance to demonstrate the true ethos of Summer Bay, as he helps Trey face up to his past and realise he can be a better person if he wants to be.The moment where he slides the photo to him and Trey barks at his friends to leave them is nicely played.The revelation that John is not his father but his stepfather does however come extremely out of left field.At least they're trying not to paint him as the villain of the piece.
