Warning: Spoilers
To surveil with love is a brilliant Simpsons episode with a hilarious opening with a lip dub to Keshas Tik Tok and also guest starring Eddie Izzard as the Quenn.

Its about Homer causing a load of chaos after a bomb scare when he leaves his gym bag at the train statio,so then Springfield decide to cover the town with surveillance cameras and Ned Flanders and Marge get a job keeping a eye out on whats going on around Springfield and Ned Flanders starts to comment on everything and everyone starts to get annoyed.

But then Bart discovers a part where none of the cameras can see them in their backyard and everyone goes there to do whatever they want and get away with it.

Meanwhile when someone starts mocking Lisa and calling her a stupid blonde she gets upsetted and decides to dye her hair brunette so people will respect her more.

Funny episode, minus the god awful opening

This was a pretty neat episode. after a bomb scare, Springfield ends up with CCTV cameras; much of the plot is based on the criticism against CCTV cameras, and whatnot. Eddie Izzard was alright, but hearing him voice the Queen was a riot. funny gags including the "17 Incredible Hulks and one Spider-Man" Chief Wiggum perving on the topless woman sunbathing, and Bart setting up the border for the blind-spot while mooning Flanders. One thing that did bother me was the opening. everyone lip-syncing to Ke$ha's crap-fest "Tik Tok" I mean, ugh! the song was critically panned cause it sounds like a ripoff of Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" all and all, Ke$ha sucks and that was a letdown to fans for hearing that garbage before the episode. still a good one though.

Hit or miss?

The episode begins with Lisa participating in a school debate team. However, she loses her first debate because her opponent uses an ad hominem fallacy related to hair color. Lisa is left speechless, unsure of how to defend herself against that fallacy. The debate judges, adults themselves, name the opponent who used the fallacy as the winner. That's already a categorial mistake on the part of the writers. Firstly, we assume Lisa is intelligent enough to recognize an ad hominem fallacy, and we also assume adult judges in a debate would recognize it as well. The writers use this poor argumentative trap to introduce a boring and cringe-worthy subplot of Lisa trying to convince the world that blondes aren't dumb, without even delivering a moral lesson on the topic-it's just filler. Although the joke about Sally Circle in Rectangu-Land does seem funny to me.

However, the main plot about surveillance cameras is entertaining, but it's not an episode to watch more than once or a few times. The essence of that plot is good because it makes you reflect on the aspect that even though it seems like there's a God watching over us, it doesn't restrict our freedoms, unlike humans and their damn laws.
