There it is
janstue23 February 2023
Pretty good start. At the beginning, I had mixed feelings about whether I still like the show or have grown out of it. Beach feeling, happy vibe and all of that were actually the reasons that were compelling to me about the show but somehow it wasn't for me at the beginning of this episode. It felt too much, too Disney, too I don't know what. The opening scenario failed to bring a vibe to me and seemed unnecessary. But eventually the life blood of the show starts to flow back in and I'm looking forward to the next episodes. Also JayJay's humor is refreshing as always. On another note, I hope that they won't turnaround Rafe's character into one of the boys. He's doing fine as a villain and I would be disappointed in a "at-the-end-we're-all-family" kind of thing. Enjoy your night!

NAH WHAT IN THE DISNEY TAKEOVER IS THIS

Warning: Spoilers
Watching this makes me feel as if all the original writers were kicked from writing the script.. Like why in the hell would John B .... In the middle of a life and death situation go searching for a mysterious sound thinking it's his dad... when his dad to his knowledge is dead.... And he is in fact hella far from home.... And also to add the world is filled with a variety of musical patterns & sound ... It just doesn't make sense. I feel as if Outer Banks was robbed and turned into a season of COPS... ( AND ALSO WHY IN TF IS KIARA AND JJ FALLING IN LOVE MAN WHO IN THE LIVING HELL F'D THIS UP!!!) Way too many random changes and cheesy decisions that go against the characters we've already known and loved in only the first episode to even want to finish this season. Smh.

Update: Finished the season and it was good but again horrible first 2 episodes.

What the hell.

Warning: Spoilers
Nah i feel like the writers change a bit. I was kinda hoped for a better starting after this amazing trailer. But we got the worst Obx episode yet. The characters are so weird and cringe. After season 2 ending I was so sure that we will atleast get a one ep long Island episode when they stay at "Poguelandia" but netflix made a sike. I kinda enjoyed the new villains i guess and i look forward how John B's dad will be connected to this. Anyways if the whole season will be like zhis than we might have some problems here so I hope for a NO. Kie and JJ have so much tension and I hope they become a thing. And I hope they will make an amazing plot.

Strong start
lockekillua23 February 2023
As a big fan of the previous two seasons of Outer Banks, I was eagerly anticipating the season 3 premiere, and "Poguelandia" did not disappoint. While the episode focused more on setting up the season's overarching plot than on individual character arcs, it was a fun ride from start to finish.

The episode begins with the pogues struggling to survive as resources on the island dwindle, setting the stage for the high stakes that will probably become problems later in the show. The tension builds as Ward and Limbrey make a discover something that has the potential to be something big, but I suppose we'll have to see how the season develops. This episode is definitely entertaining to say the least.

Without giving too much away, I will say that "Poguelandia" is a promising start to what looks to be an exciting season. The writing is promising, the pacing is good, and the cinematography is actually pretty decent considering the last two seasons were filmed with odd angles and a weird filter. The returning cast members all give strong performances, and the new additions to the cast fit in seamlessly.

While I'm excited to see where the season goes, I do wish that we had gotten a bit more character development in the premiere. However, given the episode's focus on plot, I understand why this wasn't a priority. Overall, "Poguelandia" sets the stage for what promises to be an action-packed and emotionally satisfying season, and I can't wait to see where the pogues' adventures take them next.

Worst episode in the series so far
mathiaskristiansen-3198423 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I was excited for this series with a hope for a new direction this season. But the writers for this episode did a horrible job. They had my attention for the first 10 minutes on the deserted island, but once they crashed the plane and Kiara went back into the sinking plane I realised how bad this was going to be.

I created an imdb user just to write this review. Everything is so bland and boring in this episode. The villain and story setup was so stupid. 'Carlos Singh' looking for El Dorado, what has this series become? And the plot structure is still the same uninteresting mess from before: The group faces some challenge - one member of the group does something stupid - the member gets captured and messes up their plan - they have to rescue the group member. Rinse and repeat.

I seriously don't understand how this episode has gotten 8.6/10 in rating. The writing/script is bad which has made the acting lacking and not even to mention the cgi. The crab looked like play-dough.

I am just dissapointed. I really enjoyed the direction in s1 and s2. I'm not sure if the rest of the season is worth my time at this point.

Badddd Cinematography and worse visual effects
griffenclayton25 February 2023
Looks like the visuals effects team from sharknado finally landed a new project...

The plot is alright and seems like it could go somewhere promising but not really drawn in too much, which is a shame cause the first 2 seasons were great. I just can't get over the horrible cinematography, the weird camera angles, horrible background acting and stunt coordination. Netflix is going downhill for sure... just gonna keep watching the last of us instead. HBO max knows what they are doing.

The show just jumped from the cliff
bobbykristin1 March 2023
I have a bad feeling about this was just what I thought on seeing the trailer for the third season... yeah it turns out it was not only a feeling. Season three lacks... everything. The show used to be good, it used to have tension build up, it opposed two sides of the society and it had very interesting to follow character developments. And now what??? A bigger villain turns searching for a bigger prize - everything seems so unrealistic and dumb. Not that the show has been realistic in previous seasons but this going The Mission Impossible way if Disney made it. It's so messed up I don't even want to talk about but I had to write something down to express my anger cause I really liked the show before. I understand that most series are bound to a good start and everything goes down at some point it's a bit of tendency nowadays to just suck everything up from a story... Sad ! Ot should've ended where it was ! Not going to watch this season and I highly don't recommend it to anyone who liked the first two seasons !!!

Awful.
blakezoe24 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Just plain awful. So cringeworthy and obviously made to please the male gaze. Grow up and make some good shows nowadays. I don't know what else to say besides it was just awful. The only reason people watch it is for the wrong reasons cause this world is disgusting and screwed up. Get this show off of the internet, Netflix, everything. I would rather spend the afternoon in the hot son covered in honey and syrup then watch 15 minutes of this show. For some reason I have to keep writing cause I haven't used enough but whatever... this show sucks. That's just it. If you think it's good you have some serious issues.

Poorly written "tweener" show
kfss26427 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This show was recommended to me because I like treasure hunt shows. So, I started to watch this. It started off alright, but right away I noticed plot holes forming. By season 2, I was ready to quit this show. The degree of ignorance and sheer stupidity the main characters display left me to feel they deserved all the misfortune they experienced. Every time they get ahead, they make extremely naive and stupid decisions that put them in a losing position.

Not to mention how increasingly poor the cops are written and portrayed is simply tragic. Although, that somewhat gets corrected in season 2, only to be poorly written further. The lack of follow through and mishandling of the explosion on the boat/yacht was horrible. The Rafe Cameron character is so ridiculous, he basically ruins the show each time he turns up. The castaway portion of season 3 was lame, only to be followed by more ridiculous antics.....

The ignorant characters and the seemingly endless plot holes make you accept and feel the characters deserve everything bad that happens to them. The whole Kooks and Pogues thing is tiresome at best. That tired old cliche always seems to be the default for everything that goes wrong for the main characters.
