Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency 'JAXA' was responsible for the Hayabusa missions to the near earth asteroids Itokawa and Ryugu which returned the first samples from an asteroid to earth. JAXA is now preparing a sample return mission to the Martian moons Phobos and Deimos.
