  • A Marine Lieutenant and a woman scientist rekindle their recent relationship, including sharing a passionate kiss.
  • Mild references.

Violence & Gore

  • The blood and gore is mostly mild for a typical SyFy channel feature. Mostly monster-on-human violence with bloody results.
  • Several people are reported as dead after a dimension-travelling experiment goes awry. Non-Bloody. Just people on the ground or mentioned as dead.
  • An old man suffers a heart attack and shortly dies after first response attempts fail.
  • A man dies after his friend pokes a pen into a dead baby monster. The monster's body contained an organ that spurts acid and the acid lands on the man's forehead, burning through his skull.
  • A man is killed by a charging monster. His body is later found cut in half with entrails and blood visible.
  • A woman slides down a hill and has her leg trapped under rolling rocks. She pushes some of the rocks away and discovers she suffered a sprained and bloody ankle.
  • A soldier is attacked by a monster. He is only seen screaming while his face becomes covered in blood.
  • A monster confronts three people after one of them has stolen an egg from its nest. The thief tries to return the egg but drops it and gets cut in half by the monster.
  • A Marine gets attacked by a monster. He is impaled on a claw and bleeds through his mouth. Before he dies, he lights the fuse to an IED that he threw earlier into the monster. The weapon explodes. Another Marine discovers the bloody remains of his comrade, including bloody dog tags and half a bloody leg.
  • A hysterical man carrying a device attempts to run on foot from a monster but is quickly taken down. He is killed behind a large bush but is later shown being dragged away by the monster. He is shown with a large spot of blood on his clothes.

Profanity

  • Mild. Mostly uses of "Piss", "Son of a bitch", "Damn", "Damn it" and "Ass".

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A Marine colonel is seen drinking a bottle from his secret supply of alcohol hidden in a case labeled "For Emergency Use Only".

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There is only one monster type seen throughout the movie. Their screen time is limited but obviously CG and only exists during chase or kill scenes. The human deaths are mostly obscured or otherwise implied off-camera. Only two deaths were the most graphic, involving body parts left behind.
