While James Gunn has begun filming for his first chapter of the new Dcu, Superman, he has also been working extra hard as the DC Studios chief to dispel rumors about his films or any other upcoming films in the franchise. The filmmaker is known to be active on Threads and frequently provides answers to fans about a rumor in case it is fake.
Gunn recently debunked a rumor about the casting of a former Marvel star to play Harvey Dent in Matt Reeves’ upcoming film The Batman: Part II. Narcos star Boyd Holbrook was rumored to have joined the cast of the Robert Pattinson starrer as Two-Face. However, Gunn quickly squashed the rumor, saying that the news report was fake.

The Batman was a refreshing change in the turbulent DC Extended Universe. Taking a different approach from earlier DC and Batman movies, this 2022 flick starring Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayn is essentially a noir-style mystery that highlights the superhero’s detective abilities in addition to his physical prowess.
Not only did it create a bleak new Gotham City, but it also featured some of the best performances from Colin Farrell (The Penguin), Jeffrey Wright (James Gordon), Zoë Kravitz (Catwoman), and of course, Pattinson (Batman).
However, the film was met with some skepticism following Christopher Wozniak, a screenwriter and former freelance artist for DC Comics, filing a lawsuit against Warner Bros. for allegedly stealing the story from his script, The Ultimate Riddle.
Robert Pattinson and Zoë Kravitz in a still from The Batman
Well, the plaintiff has not been pleased with the verdict, as the US Judge ruled that Matt Reeves’ helmed flick was not plagiarized.

Venice film festival: Swinton plays both mother and daughter in a moving and disconcerting move into pseudo horror from the director of The Souvenir
There’s real intimacy and emotional generosity to this psychological mystery from Joanna Hogg – a personal movie which appears to come from the same universe as her earlier Souvenir films – or one very much like it.
It’s a ghost story whose purpose is something other than scaring you, a film about the enigma of your parents’ lives, their unknowable existences before you were born and indeed after you were born; that feeling that your parents are simultaneously as familiar as a pair of old slippers and yet also a Sphinx-riddle, withholding from you the meaning of your life and death. And perhaps the only way of cracking the code, solving the problem, is finally to become your mum or dad, to feel what they feel from the inside,...

"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" has added an actress to its regular cast line-up. Elisabeth Harnois, who originally only signed on to guest star in the May 5 episode, was expected to return for more episodes and has now been promoted as a regular on the CBS drama series.
Harnois was initially scheduled to appear in one episode as the estranged daughter of Conrad Ecklie (Marc Vann). She works for the Los Angeles Police Department and helps the Las Vegas crew hunt down serial killer Nate Haskell (Bill Irwin).
Harnois has previously appeared on another CBS show, "Miami Medical", and guest starred on "One Tree Hill". She recently joined the voice cast of animated film "Mars Needs Moms!" and will next be seen starring in "Riddle" opposite Val Kilmer.

Elisabeth Harnois, who co-starred on CBS' Miami Trauma, will be joining the cast of another CBS/Jerry Bruckheimer drama as a regular, the mothership CSI series. She was originally signed to guest star in the May 5 episode as the estranged daughter of Conrad Ecklie (Marc Vann), who works for the Los Angeles Police Department and helps the Las Vegas crew hunt down serial killer Nate Haskell (Bill Irwin). The guest stint grew into a bigger role on the show. She was expected to return for more episodes and has now been upgraded to a full-blown regular status on the show. Veteran CSI, now in its 11th season, has not been officially renewed for next season, but that is considered a foregone conclusion. Harnois, whose series credits also include Point Pleasant, Dirt and One Tree Hill, recently starred in the Disney movie Mars Needs Moms and will next be seen in Riddle opposite Val Kilmer.
