Jason Samuels Smith, who plays the tap instructor in this episode, is a good friend of Dule Hill's, and both are veterans of Broadway's Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk. Smith choreographed the dance sequences.

When Juliet and Shawn try and finish each other's sentences, it looks like Maggie Lawson breaks character when she says, "so you go to hamburger" with a half chuckle and can be seen smiling from the back and James Roday slowly starting to smile as well.
