Atmospheric, poignant and haunting, Beautiful Enough manages to tell its sad story visually and effectively. The camera work and lighting by Rob Hardy gives the film a distinctive fairytale look that is original, beautiful and unforgettable. The editing by Ben Unwin is inventive, and the stunning music has been composed by Isobel Waller-Bridge to perfectly fit the childlike and eerie setting. Miffy Englefield is perfectly suited to the role, her serious little face is heart wrenching and she gives a brave and thoughtful performance. The set and production design has been brilliantly realised by Stephen Lally whose hard work is evident in the extensive detail seen in each and every shot.
