TV One has announced that Roland S. Martin will host the new morning show "News One Now," which will debut in September on the network targeting adult African-American viewers. Martin, a former CNN contributor, recently hosted "Washington Watch With Roland Martin," which ended its four-year run in May. News One Now will be TV One‘s first morning news program, a one-hour live weekday telecast that is set to launch in September. The NAACP Image Awards have announced the nominees for their 44th annual awards show during a live press conference from the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, CA. TV One is continuing to expand into original offerings, announcing plans to add 14 new series and specials Tuesday at its first upfront presentation under president and CEO Wonya Lucas. The Comcast-owned network which focuses on offerings for African-American adults announced a development slate that includes docuseries, unsolved mysteries an R&B-set reality series and plans for a tribute special to late funnyman Bernie Mac.
