It took me a few viewings to realize what they'd done here, and it's so fun. Now these are great comedy writers. This show is inexplicably underrated. They bring the funny. And in this episode, they structured one of the coolest sitcom jokes I've ever seen.

Don't worry. There are no spoilers here. You'll have to find it on your own. I'm just raising your awareness to watch for it. It works like this --

There's "something" that Melanie does. It's a character trait. They show us that trait in the very beginning of the episode. Later in the story, she goes the opposite of her character trait -- and it's done with hilarious sound effects. And then, immediately after that moment, we see her return to her original way.

It's hilarious. And brilliant.

It Sure Isn't Complicated **1/2

Warning: Spoilers
The show has 3 more episodes as announced and is running out of gas.

Bette White acted more like Rose Nylan this evening. Imagine, two elderly men are fighting over this rooster. Tim Conway, formerly of the great Carol Burnett show, guest starred as Nick. Looking quite elderly,Conway has done far better and age appears to be catching up with him.

While this is going on, Melanie's ex-husband arrives and proceeds to cheat on his girlfriend Kim with Melanie. The latter issues a host of expletives when she realizes what is going on. The female guard at the airport brings a lot of humor as she expected the opposite to be going on.

Really, this is routine fanfare.
