I love this episode. There are several reasons why. First the guest star is John Schneider. Hello Bo Duke in the house and he is a wonderful singer/actor also. Second @ChristianKane01 aka #EliotSpencer gets to show off his wonderful singing voice. I didn't watch Leverage till the first of this year. Thats when I noticed Christian Kane. This episode had me researching who was actually singing. When I discovered Christain was also a very talented singer I became a Kaniac that day. I have to say that Parker/Beth done a wonderful job is this episode also. I love how they also done a word play on Christian's name for his character he plays and a play on the Kaniacs also. Its a wonderful episode and truly one of my top 5!

A typical Leverage is extremely well-written, and a couple dozen of them are not only well-written, but well-acted, well-paced, shot, with guests stars who absolutely nail it.

"The Studio Job" is one such episode, with Alona Tal sensational as the tough, sweet, smart singer who falls for Eliot--and vice-versa. It's hard for guests to credibly fall in like-love in the space of 42 minutes to the point of inviting an ongoing affair, but Tal pulls it off. Great to see Beth Riesgraf play wildly out of character as an Icelandic pop star who hoots rather than speaks. And who knew Kane could sing and play like this.

Among comedy-dramas Leverage is surely among the most underrated series ever produced. Their sense of family without ever lapsing into mere sentiment, and the producers and writers' commitment to avoiding the cheap saccharine elements of togetherness makes tripe like the Fast & Furious series embarrassing by comparision. Long Live Leverage!
