The South will rise again
Karl Self22 August 2010
A good-looking good-for-nothing is stressed out by the ladies in Hamburg. One chick won't even bum him a cigarette. Another one sends him to smuggle drugs for her to Munich -- which is dangerously close to work. Down on his luck in the Southron capital, he finds that his skills are much in demand amongst the lovelorn belles of Bavaria. Roll credits!

Klaus Lemke's latest film is also the first one I got to see by him. Although some of his actors were in attendance at the cinema, I was even more enthralled by his gonzo style of filmmaking. Shot off the cuff on a shoestring budget and with a simple consumer video-camera, it's thick on action and good-looking foxes, although possibly lacking a bit in the deep-meaning-department. But most of all, his cinematic style is captivating, never boring, and jam-packed with creative ideas. Klaus Lemke is one director well worth checking out!
