Match made in ... disaster(?)
kosmasp28 July 2021
Can you find love, if you are unable to see? Is that a pun? Also does losing ones virginity have to involve love? Probably not, but then again I do think we know where this is going. A funny and quirky little movie, with characters and dialog that will either make your heart go "awww" - or just annoy and bore you.

I hope it is the former, especially considering how good the main actors are. All things considered of course (genre, production values and so forth) - do not set your expectations too high ... and just enjoy this for what it is ... a low budget small movie that could - it sees more than it lets on.

There were some funny scenes, not only dramatic ones and to sum it up it's worth watching.

This Movie is a Disaster from Beginning to End, and I Enjoy the Movie, But it did not work well, At all. And While I did like The Soundtrack by Mew's Jonas Bjerre. And If People like it, Its fine, Its just not The Movie for Me...

Expect the Unexpected
silvio-mitsubishi27 January 2023
A film destined to be forever labelled as 'quirky' or 'winsome', the coming of age tale of Jon and Edith, each with their own challenges, in an otherworldly village that wants to be a town but is little more than a bus stop, shop and radio station.

For all its charm, however, the story has dark undertones and is far from whimsy. There is prejudice, abuse and treachery, and even the love is twisted and often self-interested.

There are shades of Twin Peaks, Little Britain and countless folk horrors, but I suspect many who grew up in rural areas will sense familiarity in the settings and personalities here.

Recommended, but don't expect Disney, or an Ealing comedy.
