During preproduction on Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980), production designer Norman Reynolds asked assistant editor Duwayne Dunham to try out the first, all white prototype armor for Boba Fett. Years later, as Dunham was directing Pursuit of Peace (2010), an issue of Star Wars Insider magazine came out which featured photographs of him in the suit. Within 20 minutes, a line of Lucasfilm employees formed a line to get Dunham to autograph the magazine.
Heroes on Both Sides (2010) and "Pursuit of Peace" serve as prequels to the second season's Senate Murders (2010), which explains the presence of Rodian Senator Onaconda Farr and his aide Lolo Purs and Senator Mee Deechi of Umbara.
Guest director Duwayne Dunham was one of the editors on Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983) and an assistant editor on Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980).
