"Pequeñas voces" ("Born under Fire") is a marvelous, semi-documentary animated film which is able to express through animation the experiences lived by many children in Colombia, the same who have grown up in middle of violence and chaos: Despite the innocent appearance of the animation (Which highly resemble the drawings of little children, being also filled with many bright colors) many of the things narrated by this movie are pretty harsh and heartbreaking.
However, this movie also has many heartwarming and beautiful moments, with a very moving message of hope and optimism, which fortunately are not delivered in a patronizing way.
In my opinion, this was an excellent film, which posses many virtues in both the narrative and visual aspect. A must-see for everyone.
