Netflix is celebrating the milestone anniversary, too, with an original documentary feature chronicling the life of band member John Weir. "The Other One: The Long Strange Trip of Bob Weir" is directed by Mike Fleiss ("The Bachelor," "God Bless Ozzy Osbourne"), produced by Marc Weingarten ("God Bless Ozzy Osbourne") and Ep'd by Martin Hilton ("The Bachelor") and Justin Kreutzmann ("In the Attic with Pete Townshend and Friends"). Anyone making a movie about a member of the Grateful Dead would naturally gravitate toward Jerry Garcia. But director Mike Fleiss, best known for co-directing the 2011 doc God Bless Ozzy Osbourne, had other ideas. “I wanted to give Bob [Weir] his moment to shine,” Fleiss says. “I wanted to shine a light on his contributions to culture and rock and roll.”

Rhythm guitarist Bob Weir of The Grateful Dead fame has had an exciting life to say the least, even for the likes of a rock star. The musician's life has had so many notable moments that filmmaker Mike Fleiss had a difficult time pinpointing which areas to focus on in his film "The Other One: The Long, Strange Trip of Bob Weir," with the many faces of Weir (artist, rebel, family man) being exposed as profoundly as can be in a 90-minute documentary. Tell us about yourself. I'm a producer and director in Los Angeles. I'm a reality TV veteran, having created "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette," among other shows. I also produced the "Hostel" series of films as well as the fist two "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" remakes. My last documentary "God Bless Ozzy Osbourne" premiered at Tribeca in 2011. What was your biggest challenge in completing this project? Bob was...

Sharon Osbourne is going to be a grandmother!
Jack Osbourne, 25, and his new fiancee, Lisa Stelly, are expecting their first child, he announced on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight" Tuesday while appearing with his parents, Sharon and rocker Ozzy Osbourne.
"I'm excited. I'm a little nervous," Jack said about the baby news.
This will be the first grandchild for Sharon, while Ozzy already has grandchildren from his first two children.
"I'm happy because it's what Jack wants, and so I'm happy because I've always wanted to be a grandma," Sharon said, with Ozzy chiming in that he's also excited for their son, who announced his surprise engagement to Stelly just a few weeks ago.
"I think it's fabulous," the rocker said, grinning from ear to ear.
Kelly Osbourne, never one to sit quietly on the sidelines, also tweeted her excitement after the big announcement.

The reality TV star proposed to model-and-actress Lisa Stelly after just four months of dating and Kelly admits she couldn't be happier.

Son of the bat head-eating, slurred word-speaking rocker, Jack Osbourne, is engaged. The spawn of Ozzy Osbourne proposed to Lisa Stelly, an aspiring actress, according to Us Weekly.
Although Jack's sister, Kelly, has been the focus of headlines much more than her older brother as of late, we can only imagine that's a good thing. Jack became addicted to OxyContin at an early age, which only escalated after his mother, Sharon Osbourne, was diagnosed with cancer. As a rebellious teen, Jack was a UK tabloid's dream until he ultimately got clean after spending time in a Malibu rehab.
But most recently, Osbourne kept his head down to produce a documentary, "God Bless Ozzy Osbourne" about dear old dad -- a project which won him rave reviews.
We can't wait to feast our eyes on another British royal wedding -- rock royalty, of course.

Review: It takes guts to create something as intimate and personal as “God Bless Ozzy Osbourne,” a new eye-opening documentary on the Prince of Darkness and his music legacy. His son Jack co-produced the film in an attempt to eliminate the negative perception that is sometimes associated with the singer due to his much-publicized history of extreme debauchery, and the outcome is a moving portrait through the eyes of a new-and-improved, sober Ozzy.
Beginning with pre-show backstage footage of the man himself in more recent years, Ozzy is found working out and putting to use a vocal warm-up CD that was made just for him (something you expect from Adele but not a metal god). The footage is boring and a complete opposite of the image one typically has of Ozzy Osbourne’s backstage pre-show rituals, but that’s the point. The man is 62 years old, this is his life now,...

For four seasons, Jack Osbourne and his famous family delighted and shocked viewers with their reality TV show "The Osbournes" -- particularly the antics of patriarch Ozzy Osbourne. But, like any reality show, it was for entertainment value. A new documentary "God Bless Ozzy Osbourne" takes a far more "real" look at the rocker. For two years, filmmakers Mike Fleiss and Mike Piscitelli followed Ozzy on the road. Jack Osbourne served on the producer on the film. Jack ran into two challenges while producing the film: Fitting 60+ years of his Ozzy's life into a 90-minute film, and critics who said he'd be soft on his father. But the younger Osbourne says the film is anything but fluff. Ozzy's reaction to seeing the film was actually quite surprising. Jack tells what Ozzy said to TooFab's Tyler Harrell. Check it out: Plus, check out a clip of "God Bless Ozzy Osbourne," where...

According to Deadline God Bless Ozzy Osbourne director Mike Fleiss has made a deal to make his narrative directing debut on an untitled low-budget horror film. He is partnered on the project with Steven Schneider, producer of the Paranormal Activity films and Insidious.
The Fleiss-Schneider film is described to Deadline as a big idea with a low price tag, which seems to be the best way to make genre flicks nowadays. It’s being packaged and will be sold by Wme Global to start production by year’s end.

Not many directors have earned as much scorn for their work over the past decade as Shawn Levy. From the Night at the Museum movies to Cheaper by the Dozen (and several others among those), I can’t find anybody who would legitimately says that they like his work — and the fact that he makes so much money isn’t helping him out. Deadline now says that the director is pretty close to attaching himself to Fox’s Frankenstein. One of the big reasons for this move is the delay in production on The Fantastic Voyage, and this taking up his time for the coming winter and spring makes the offer all the more appealing.

"I'm a lifetime Sabbath fan," producer Mike Fleiss ("The Texas Chainsaw Massacre," "Hostel") told EW in an interview about his co-directorial effort "God Bless Ozzy Osbourne" which recently premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. "I didn't want it to be something that was just glorifying," he said of the movie he created with Ozzy's son, Jack Osbourne. "We had to talk about the difficult times and the embarrassing times and really do it unblinkingly. Jack Osbourne has taken aim at a critic of his new documentary about rocker dad Ozzy Osbourne after the journalist gave the film a less-than-glowing review. Jack acted as producer on "God Bless Ozzy Osbourne", for which he teamed up with directors Mike Piscitelli and Mike Fleiss to create a tell-all movie about his father's unconventional story.
The crew followed the Black Sabbath star around for three-and-a-half years to create a never-seen-before glimpse into the Prince of Darkness' life. However, Variety reviewer John Anderson dismissed the movie's credentials, insisting "non-fans will grow restless" and claiming the graphic detail of Ozzy's former drug use bordered on "disgusting".

However, Variety reviewer John Anderson dismissed the movie's credentials, insisting "non-fans will grow restless" and claiming the graphic detail of Ozzy's former drug use bordered on "disgusting".

Metal heads new and old know Ozzy Osbourne. Growing up, the sounds of Black Sabbath and solo Ozzy were blasted through my house on a regular basis. When The Osbournes debut on MTV, I was compelled to watch it. After awhile it did become a bit much, but I still have a soft spot in my heart for the little guy whom I could now barely understand. So I was obviously intrigued by the documentary, God Bless Ozzy Osbourne. It was directed by Mike Fleiss and Jack Osbourne. Yesterday the doc...

Directorial debut from Ozzy Osbourne's son will be an original horror film featuring his father's band's music
Jack Osbourne is to direct his first feature film, Black Sabbath, according to reports.
Not to be confused with Mario Bava's 1963 Italian portmanteau, from which the band fronted by Jack's father, Ozzy, took their name, Black Sabbath will be an original horror film featuring the group's music.
While this will be Osbourne's first directing job, it is not his first foray into the world of film; he co-produced concert documentary God Bless Ozzy Osbourne, which premiered at the Tribeca film festival last weekend. Osbourne Jr is again joining forces with producer Marc Weingarten, who co-produced the recent documentary. Shooting is to begin by the end of the year.
Plot details have yet to be released but it is thought the film may be the same project that Sabbath's lead guitarist, Tony Iommi,...

"God Bless Ozzy Osbourne" premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival this weekend, and the documentary deals a lot in rumors and clarification. Yes, the Prince of Darkness has a whole other family, other than the ones that rattled around MTV's "The Osbournes" earlier this decade. He nearly drank himself to death, tried to get sober over 50 times and attempted to murder second and current wife Sharon when he was on a bender. His kids don't think he used to be a very good father. He's also had a thing for getting naked and prays now. But please put it to...

Jack Osbourne is reported set to make his directorial debut on the horror film "Black Sabbath" reports The Press Association.
Despite the title, the film is not a biopic of his father Ozzy Osbourne's heavy metal band of the same name. Co-producer Marc Weingarten however confirms that "the music of Black Sabbath is in the movie".
Details of the plot are sketchy aside from it being a horror feature. However this is said to be the same project which Producer Mike Fleiss ("Hostel") and guitarist Tony Iommi were linked to a few years ago.
Shooting aims to kick off near the end of the year. The younger Osbourne has previously produced a concert documentary about his dad entitled "God Bless Ozzy Osbourne".

Kelly Osbourne believes media isn't happy with her body for some reason. The actress daughter of rocker Ozzy Osbourne came out with the revelation when speaking to Us Weekly at the after-party for documentary "God Bless Ozzy Osbourne" last Sunday, April 25.
Of the matter, the 26-year-old reality star said, "[The media keeps] writing that I'm getting fat, and I'm not, I'm the same size." Having said that she is happy with her body, she further insisted, "I work out half an hour a day and just eat what I want and I'm happy, so I don't really care."
The actress, who will star opposite Miley Cyrus in "So Undercover", certainly has changed her perspective on her weight issue. Back in February 2010, she admitted, "I took more hell for being fat than I did for being an absolute raging drug addict. I will never understand that."
Kelly, who once weighed "almost 160" pounds, also confessed...

Rock matriarch Sharon Osbourne credits her son Jack Osbourne's determination to get clean with inspiring Ozzy Osbourne to kick his addictions to drink and drugs once and for all.
The "Paranoid" hitmaker's lifelong battle with alcohol and illegal substances has been well documented over the years, but it was only when Jack checked into a child psychiatric ward to deal with his personal issues in 2003 that the Black Sabbath frontman became serious about confronting his own problems.
Speaking in candid new documentary "God Bless Ozzy Osbourne", which was produced by Jack, Sharon says, "Jack getting sober was... really his big turning point... Jack was dealing with life sober for the first time."
The 62-year-old singer has spent the past few years completely sober after vowing to clean up his act for the sake of his loved ones and his dedication to the cause has stunned even his closest relatives.

Details are thin on the ground, but it seems that Jack Osbourne is about to direct Black Sabbath, using the music of his dad's iconic metal band. That should make the rights easy to come by.It's not Jack's first toe in the waters of moviedom, since he was a producer on the recent concert documentary God Bless Ozzy Osbourne. That film's co-producer Marc Weingarten is also aboard Black Sabbath, but he isn't planning a docco along similar lines. Nor are we talking about a remake of the Mario Bava film from which the band took its name.It is a horror movie though, and all indications would seem to be that this is the same Black Sabbath that Sabbs guitarist Tony Iommi was involved with a couple of years ago, alongside Hostel and Texas Chainsaw Massacre producer Mike Fleiss.Info was sketchy back then too. Could this be taking...

Apparently when you're the sibling of Ozzy Osbourne you can live to be or do anything you want in life. Well isn't that special. Jack Osbourne is now a filmmaker as he is set to make a horror movie inspired by and named after his father Ozzy's rock band Black Sabbath, reports Contact Music. The reality TV star recently wrapped his first big gig as a producer, working on behind-the-scenes concert documentary God Bless Ozzy Osbourne, which he premiered at New York's Tribeca Film Festival on Sunday. And Osbourne is already planning his next project around the songs that made the heavy metal group famous. Marc Weingarten, co-producer on God Bless Ozzy Osbourne, tells WENN, "Jack and I are about to do a horror movie called Black Sabbath so there's some connective tissue there." Weingarten refuses to reveal any plot details, although he admits the duo has yet to cast anyone in the film.

Directors Mike Piscitelli and Mike Fleiss worked with the rocker's son, Jack Osbourne, to produce "God Bless Ozzy Osbourne" over a period of three-and-a-half years, but co-producer Jordan Tappis admits they had to start from scratch 12 months into production, because they just weren't getting anywhere.
But Tappis reveals they soon learned how to handle the veteran star, born John Osbourne, and eventually managed to convince him to openly discuss his lifelong battle with drink and drugs, and how his addictions and increasing fame affected his family.
He tells WENN, "The first year (of filming) was pretty much a waste. It was about learning and understanding Ozzy... and we wanted to find out who John Osbourne was, so we spent a lot of time figuring out how to get to him so that he would reveal the truth behind who he really was."

Tommy Lee witnessed the extent of Ozzy Osbourne's bizarre behaviour in 1984 when his band Motley Crue joined the former Black Sabbath frontman on the road.
The drummer admits even he was shocked by the amount of booze and illegal substances Osbourne took during that tour - and he vividly recalls the moment he realised the Brit had completely lost it.
Speaking in candid new film documentary "God Bless Ozzy Osbourne", Lee remembers how he tried to take Osbourne back to his hotel room to rest - only for the singer to take a dump on the carpet and begin making a complete mess of the walls.
He recalls, "I'm pushing him into his room... and he takes a s**t right on the floor! ...I turned around and saw him smearing s**t all over the walls. I though this is my chance to leave. I pinned it out of there!

As evidenced by the many books and Behind the Music TV specials on the subject, Ozzy Osbourne has been one of the wildest hard rock front men to ever front a band. But what sounds like the definitive documentary on Ozzy is forthcoming.
Titled God Bless Ozzy Osbourne, the movie was co-produced by Ozzy's son, Jack Osbourne, and was directed by Mike Piscitelli, and written and produced by Jordan Tappis. Additionally, Jack and Ozzy's wife/manager, Sharon, financed the film.
A plot summary of the film was posted on the Internet Movie Database website, which says the following. "Ozzy Osbournes four decade track record as a culturally relevant artist is unprecedented, but his personal struggles have been shrouded in secrecy, until now. Featuring never before seen footage uncovered from the archives and interviews with Paul McCartney, Tommy Lee and others, God Bless Ozzy Osbourne is he first documentary to take...
