- Jason Danville: Before I was an aeronautical engineer, I was an Air Force pilot- in fact, I even flew in a few of these events and we used to joke that we weren't in the Air Force, we were in show business. And you know the first rule of entertainment is... show, don't tell.
- [Air crafts suddenly roar above the Crowd]
- Jason Danville: We have careers, we travel, we... we barely have time for each other and kids... not in the playbook.
- Dorothy: Playbook?
- Jason Danville: [shrugs] You know what I mean.
- Sally Danville: And... I can't cook. I mean, I can't. I don't know the first thing about kids or what to do with them.
- Jason Danville: That makes two of us.
- Sally Danville: Listen, I'm just trying to figure out how I'm supposed to live with a husband that I love, this career that I have passion for and now these four kids that, quite frankly, I feel responsible for.
- Jason Danville: That trouble- maker must be Kaleb, huh?
- Kaleb: I'm not a trouble-maker.
- Jason Danville: All right, throttle-back. I was just kidding.
- Sally Danville: Hey you. How are those bunk beds coming along?
- Jason Danville: Oh, you know? Academy, MIT, Collier Trophy, what could possibly do wrong?
- Sally Danville: Yeah.
- Jason Danville: Yeah.
- Sally Danville: Yeah. What could go wrong?
- Kaleb: Thank you, Auntie Sally.
- Sally Danville: Auntie Sally?
- Dorothy: Ugandan custom, they don't use Mr. or Mrs. so much.
- Sally Danville: [to Dorothy] You and I know both know Jason and I aren't cut out for this. We don't want these kids to get attached. So the sooner we can find them another family, the better.
- Sally Danville: [to Kaleb and Sung Lee] Kids, promise me one thing. Do not get jobs that have Agents, all right?
- Jason Danville: Something wrong?
- Javier: Our school before this...
- Jordan: -was smaller.
- Javier: Very much smaller.
- Jason Danville: Welcome to America. Go big or go home.
- [Jordan and Javier pause]
- Jason Danville: Uh... I didn't mean 'go home'. That's just a phrase, you know? That we... so... all right, let's go to school!
- Noah Roorda: You're not from around here...
- Jordan: What makes you say that?
- Noah Roorda: Only highly unusual people check out the Community Service booth.
- Noah Roorda: So sign up and you can tell me all about how the real world works.
- Jordan: Why do you want to know that?
- Noah Roorda: Come here. Because someday... I'm going to see it all.
- Kaleb: Auntie Sally... I love living here with you and Major Jason.
- [Kaleb rests his head on Sally's shoulder]
- Javier: [to Christine] That? That was no favour. That was to make me a fool. Well you know what? I have been around. I have lived on the streets. I am no fool. I know that ball wasn't a soccer ball.
- Sally Danville: [to Jason] Hey. Hey, look at this. I want to show you something. Look, Jordan Solarte, date of birth. Sixteen. Sweet sixteen. This is a huge deal. I'm going to- I'm going to throw her a party and you know what? I'm going to win this girl's heart if I have to jump out of the cake to do it.
- Sung-Lee: [whispers] Are you going to kiss my sister?
- Noah Roorda: [whispers] I'm not sure about that.
- Sung-Lee: [whispers] Are you scared?
- Noah Roorda: [whispers] Pretty much. Yeah.
