This was the last episode to air on ABC before the show was cancelled but is one of the middle episodes on the very jumbled DVD.
But what an episode it is! 'Mr Sunshine' at it's quirky best, with also a lot of heart too.
It's great to see Matthew Perry sparring with his girlfriend at the time Lizzy Caplain who guest stars here. I love the fact that they sort of become a weird little family with Nate Torrence's character as their son. Very funny.
James Lesure also gets a good B plot to himself and this enables us to see a difference side to the character.
What's great about this episode is that we can see real growth from the Matthew Perry character. He turns down a meaningless relationship based on sex in order to search for something more. If the main aim of the show was to track a man's journey to grow up, then this episode encapsulated that.
