TLC stars Karen and Derrico are the proud parents of 14 kids, including multiple sets of multiples. But would the Doubling Down With the Derricos couple be willing to add a 15th – or even a 16th and 17th – child to their family? They aren’t ruling it out.
Karen and Deon Derrico say they’re ‘blessed’ to be parents to 14 kids ‘Doubling Down With the Derricos’ | TLC
Karen and Deon’s 14 kids range in age from 18-year-old Darian to 4-year-old triplets Dawsyn, De’Aren, and Dyver. The group includes two singletons, twins, quintuplets, triplets, and “triplins” – the two surviving boys from a set of triplets, one of whom died shortly after birth. All the children were conceived naturally.
“Having four sets of multiples back to back? It’s like getting struck by lightning while getting struck by lightning,” Deon said in an early episode of Doubling Down With the Derricos.

“Curb Your Enthusiasm” star Susie Essman spoke out for the first time on Monday about the real-life vandalism of her HBO billboard in Los Angeles, saying the fact that it was graffitied with penises just like in the comedy’s final season was “hilarious.”
“Somebody thought that I would be upset by that — I thought that it was hilarious!” she told “Sherri” host Sherri Shepherd. “I was laughing all day long when I saw that. I thought it was so funny.”
The vandalism came earlier this month in response to the plot of a “Curb Your Enthusiasm” episode, which sees the character Susie starting her own caftan business and buying a billboard ad. On the show, the billboard is soon defaced with what Essman described as “male bodily parts” — of course, to her character’s dismay and Larry David’s joy.

Sherri Shepherd’s daytime talk show paid tribute to one of its top executives following his death earlier this month. The show ran an In Memoriam tribute card for Matt Uzzle, the executive-in-charge of the syndicated talker, during the February 15 episode.
Uzzle was found dead February 13 at his Piermont, NY home. The cause has not been revealed, but it is believed he died of an apparent suicide.
At the time of his death, there were reports of a financial investigation at the show, and, according to Page Six, Uzzle was a target of the probe. Overseeing the show’s budget was among Uzzle’s responsibilities, according to the publication.
A spokesperson for Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury released a statement to Deadline Friday confirming the investigation. “Debmar-Mercury has retained Morgan Lewis to help us investigate the matter and, pending the outcome of that investigation, will have no further comment,” the statement read.

It’s been two years since The Wendy Williams Show officially wrapped its run. The syndicated series aired its final show — without host Wendy Williams, who has been out of commission with various health issues for months, on June 17, 2022. Wendy guest host Sherri Shepherd took over the time slot with a new talk show, simply titled Sherri. Ever since the talk show ended, Williams has become a bit of a recluse due to ongoing health conditions, and her time away from the screen is set to be explored in Lifetime’s upcoming two-part documentary. Here are some Wendy Williams Show moments from the show’s 13-year run we still can’t get over. Many were offensive, some were moving, and one was somehow both frightening and funny — if we have the, ahem, liberty to say so. When she said Beyoncé “can’t talk” In December 2012, Williams said she would be...

Singer Beyonce Knowles got “maybe 150 costumes” as part of her “Renaissance World Tour” that went unworn. The 42-year-old superstar had more than 600 costumes designed and created for the mammoth global concert – which wrapped up in September after raking in a reported $579 million and becoming the highest-grossing tour by a female artist in history – but now her mother Tina, 69, has revealed that a significant amount was never seen on stage.
“She still has maybe 150 costumes that she hasn’t worn, but every night she did at least four to five new costumes.”
Actually, she told me she wanted to have more than one stylist. I actually hired four people – it would have been impossible. We had over 600 costumes to choose from,” she said on US TV show “Sherri”, reports aceshowbiz.com.

A month after they got back to work and started airing post-wga strike originals, early late night returns show good news for Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert — while in daytime, Kelly Clarkson’s move to New York was a winning strategy in its first week of new episodes.
Talk shows were among the first original programs to return to air following the resolution of the Writers Guild of America strike, with the late night shows all returning the week of Oct. 2 after a five-month hiatus. With the shows back now a month, ABC is touting that “Jimmy Kimmel Live” has won the first four weeks of the season among adults 18-49 — and that four consecutive week streak marks the show’s longest at No. 1 in the demo since more than a year ago.

Elsewhere in the announcement, representatives for “Sherri” added that “the health of our host and entire staff is of the utmost importance.”
“The show will return with original episodes as soon as possible,” the post read. “For the remainder of this week, encore episodes from the beginning of the premiere week will air.”
Shepherd’s diagnosis came as “Sherri” premiered its second season amid the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

Sherri Shepherd revealed a secret as her talk show returned on Monday.
The host explained how she underwent breast reduction surgery on July 13 and had been keeping her new boobs under wraps since then.
Shepherd, 56, told fans on her show, “I get so many comments about my body and a lot of y’all kept saying, ‘Sherri, you’re too top heavy.’
“And I would get comments like, ‘If you just got a boob job everything would be balanced.’ So guess what? I got my boobs done!” the star added, showing off her new physique.
Sharing photos of her old boobs behind her, Shepherd joked: “I had a breast reduction over the summer and season 2, everything is going to be bigger except these boobs! To be clear, I did not get this boob job because of all the comments. I got the boob job because I just wanted to see...

Sherri Shepherd Defends Talk Show Return Amid Strikes: ‘We Have Never Employed WGA Writers’ (Videos)
As heightened scrutiny around daytime talk shows’ proposed returns during the WGA and SAG-AFTRA double strike brings “The Drew Barrymore Show,” “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” “Real Time With Bill Maher” and others to a halt, Sherri Shepherd defended her series’s Season 2 return on Monday, emphasizing, “We have never employed WGA writers, so us coming back to work is not crossing the picket line.”
The talk show host explained that as a comedian, she has always been the sole writer of “Sherri,” paired with assists from producers “who help me shape my words, which is why we don’t have WGA writers here.”
Shepherd also explained that while she has marched in support of both strikes and is herself a member of SAG-AFTRA, talk shows “fall under a different union contract code, so we’re allowed to come back — unless you’re a WGA show.”

Sherri Shepherd attempts to clear any confusion regarding The “Sherri” show’s return amid the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes in her Season 2 return on Monday.
The actress and comedian opened the show addressing the controversy, telling viewers that the talk show is not in violation of the guild’s strike rules by returning despite other shows like “The Talk” and “The Drew Barrymore Show” going on pause shortly after announcing their returns. Jennifer Hudson’s talk show has also been placed on hold after previously announcing a Sept. 18 return.

“The Jennifer Hudson Show” is the latest daytime show to delay its premiere due to pressure from many inside the Hollywood community, as the talk show originally planned to forge ahead without writers during the WGA strike.
The show had resumed production last week and intended to return to the airwaves on Monday, Sept. 18, but faced criticism from many on the picket lines who saw the decision of daytime talk shows to continue without writers as harmful to their fight for a fair deal with the studios.
Drew Barrymore announced Sunday that, after days of facing blowback for her decision to return to “The Drew Barrymore Show,” her show would now be delayed until after the strike is over. “The Talk” followed suit shortly thereafter, and now “The Jennifer Hudson Show” will pause production and not premiere as planned.

As Drew Barrymore digs herself into a deeper hole regarding the return of her daytime talk show, lost in the debate is a conversation about the peculiar nature of syndicated TV.
One week ago, Barrymore ignited a firestorm when she announced her talk show would be returning amid the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. In the week since, tensions worsened and Barrymore, normally well-liked for her good-natured personality, intensified that criticism when she doubled down with a second, now-deleted, video message. If anything, her attempt to quell any criticism had the opposite effect.
Barrymore is at the eye of the storm, but she is not the only daytime host returning this upcoming week. “The Jennifer Hudson Show” and CBS’ “The Talk,” which is not syndicated, will launch new seasons on Monday, Sept. 18, as well as Sherri Shepherd’s “Sherri” and Karamo Brown’s “Karamo,” though those two shows are not struck or covered by the WGA,...

As the WGA strike extends into its fourth month, “Queer Eye” star Karamo Brown is among the daytime talk show hosts who are in the clear to resume production for his syndicated show “Karamo” amid the ongoing labor dispute.
“A lot of people have asked me, ‘why is your talk show [still filming]?’ It’s because we don’t work with celebrities, and I don’t have any writers on my show,” Brown told TheWrap. “Shows like mine are not part of that union because, again, no celebrities, no writers and it’s just me — [and] whatever comes up off the top of my head — and so we’re able to continue on.”
Brown’s daytime talker does not violate strike rules as it does not employ WGA staffers, while shows like “The Drew Barrymore Show” and “Real Time With Bill Maher” are considered “struck shows” by the Writers’ Guild of America — which...

Drew Barrymore offered up an explanation Friday as to why her daytime talk show is returning, amid fierce criticism during the writers strike. However, later that afternoon, the video had been removed after criticism of the video on social media, notably from her fellow members of the entertainment industry.
Bradley Whitford, Debra Messing and Alyssa Milano were among actors who posted responses to Barrymore’s video. “I hope you will reconsider,” said Messing.
“I believe there’s nothing I can do or say in this moment to make it Ok,” Barrymore said on the video, in an emotional video she posted on her Instagram. “I wanted to own a decision, so that it wasn’t a PR-protected situation, and I would just take full responsibility for my actions.”
A tearful Barrymore continued, “I know there is just nothing I can do that will make this Ok to those that it is not Ok with.

Several talk shows are planning their returns despite the ongoing SAG-AFTRA/WGA strikes.
On Wednesday, Bill Maher announced that his HBO political talk show, “Real Time With Bill Maher”, will return to the air, but without writers amid the ongoing WGA strike, now in its fifth month. Citing the need “to bring people back to work” in a statement published to social media, Maher argued that the writers on strike are “not the only people with issues.”
“Real Time is coming back, unfortunately, sans writers or writing. It has been five months, and it is time to bring people back to work. As the WGA strike stretches into its fourth month, writing and filming on most TV shows and movies across the industry have shut down, especially after SAG-AFTRA members joined striking writers on the picket line in mid-July. Which is why some were confused when Drew Barrymore announced in September that she’d return to shoot “The Drew Barrymore Show” without writers.
While productions from studios in the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers are considered “struck” by the guilds, there are exceptions for some, including those that gain interim agreements from SAG-AFTRA as well as projects that aren’t contracted through the guilds on strike, including reality series and productions filming internationally.

“The Drew Barrymore Show” returned from its summer hiatus Monday and all hell broke loose.
The WGA picketed Barrymore’s daytime talk show, which employed three WGA members prior to the strike. The program joins the ranks of ABC’s “The View,” which also returned. “The Talk,” “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” and “The Kelly Clarkson Show” have all announced their intention to return before the strike ends; they can expect the same treatment.
All daytime talk shows are not created equally as far as the WGA is concerned. “Tamron Hall,” “Live with Kelly and Mark,” and “Sherri” don’t employ WGA writers and should have cleaner comebacks. Of course, they still can’t have actor or writer guests promoting their films or TV shows. (SAG-AFTRA has been on strike since July 14; the WGA strike started May 2.)

Update Sept. 13, 2:15 p.m.: As Variety reported on Monday, CBS is prepping to bring back its daytime yakker “The Talk” on Monday, Sept. 18 — and now it’s official. The Eye network, which earlier on Wednesday announced all of its daytime premieres except “The Talk,” has now confirmed that it will also return on Monday, both on CBS and Paramount+. The show airs weekdays at 2 p.m. Et / 1 p.m. Pt.
CBS didn’t share any further details about guests for the first episode, which now comes the same day that “The Drew Barrymore Show” and “The Jennifer Hudson Show” will also be back with new episodes in first-run syndication. Like those shows, “The Talk” operates under the SAG-AFTRA Network Code, allowing talk show hosts to continue in that role.
News comes as “The Talk” shot a rehearsal show on Wednesday, some of which may be used later on an episode.

Several daytime talk shows may be following the lead of Drew Barrymore in restarting production during the dual labor strike.
CBS’ panel show The Talk and two syndicated talkers, The Jennifer Hudson Show and Sherri, hosted by Sherri Shepherd, are returning to production for season premieres in the coming weeks. They’ll do so amid labor actions by the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA, which have shut down hundreds of TV and film productions over the past five months as the two unions seek better pay and residuals, streaming data transparency and protections against artificial intelligence (among other issues) from studios and streamers.

Sherri Shepherd paid tribute to preacher Sarah Jakes Roberts — who went viral over the weekend for having a “wig slip” during her sermon — by recreating the moment on Tuesday’s “Sherri”.
“If you know me, you know I love some Sarah Jakes Roberts,” Sherri told her daytime talk show audience. “I have been following her journey in ministry, I have been reading her books for a long time and I used to attend her church.”
Sarah is a New York Times best-selling author, a YouTuber and the founder of the motivational organization Women Evolve.
Sherri went on to explain how over the weekend, while Sarah was preaching in Dallas, Texas, her sermon was “so moving, her wig began to slide off.” Instead of running off stage to adjust her wig, Sarah took it off completely and finished her homily in just her wig cap.
While detailing how inspirational Sarah was...
