King Robert puts his vindictive queen in her place and old friend Ned back in office as Hand, even shortly on the throne during another royal hunt, long enough to shock the nobility by outlawing an allegedly rogue knightly lord without even hearing him.—KGF Vissers

Robert slaps Cersei in front of Ned, when she says that Robert should wear her gown as that's what he is fit for. But, Robert reappoints Ned as Hand and tasks him with running affairs until Robert returns from hunting. Robert wants Ned to hand over Tyrion back, as he cant afford a war between the Starks and the Lannisters. But Ned refuses. Robert is in huge debt to the Lannisters.. He cannot afford to antagonize them. Robert is also clear that Daenerys has to die and he wont allow Ned to have a say in the matter.
Daenerys tries to incubate the 3 dragon eggs (by putting them on a bed of hot coals) she received as her wedding gift. Daenerys is herself not harmed when she handles the hot dragon eggs. Villagers from Riverrun arrive in the throne room with news of atrocities committed by raiders (the evidence points to the House of Tully, Catelyn's house), who Ned deduces were led by Gregor Clegane (brother of Sandor, the Hound), a Lannister family retainer who was trying to start a war between the Baratheon's and Stark+Tully. Ned sentences Gregor to death and sends a message to Tywin Lannister (Charles Dance) (Cersei and Jamie's father), summoning him to a trial within 15 days or be branded a traitor to the realm. Beric Dondarrion (David Michael Scott) is given the charge to capture Gregor. Petyr says that Tywin is the richest man in the Kingdom and it was not wise for Ned to challenge him. In the Vale, Tyrion confesses his crimes (lying, cheating, whoring and whatnot.. but not to the assassination attempt on Bran, or to the murder of Jon Arryn) to Lady Arryn. He demands a trial by combat, which Lysa grants. She chooses Ser Vardis (Brendan McCormack) (Commander of the guards at the Eerie castle), and Tyrion asks for a champion (he asks for his brother Jamie Lannister to be his champion, but Lady Arryn refuses this ask). The sell-sword (mercenary) Bronn (Jerome Flynn) volunteers, kills Vardis, and thereby obtains Tyrion's release. Tyrion leaves with Bronn.
