Despite her ferocious adopted last name, TLC’s top tattoo maven Megan Massacre has the face (and hair color) of a rock ‘n’ roll Disney Princess and the sweetly lilting voice to match. But the star of the network’s back-to-back Thursday night hits America’s Worst Tattoos and NY Ink — born Megan Woznicki in Douglasville, Pa — says she actually picked “Massacre” not in homage to her edgy profession, but long before, when she and some bowling buddies decided to mock the earnestness of heavy-metal obsessed MySpace scenesters. Taken with all forms of art since she was a toddler, Massacre, 27, [...]

TLC has ordered yet another tattoo reality show. The network announced Thursday that "Tattoo School," a reality show chronicling a two-week tattoo artist training course at Shreveport, Louisiana's World's Only Tattoo School, will be premiering Thurs., May 24 at 10 p.m. Et.
The participants in the show will range from disabled military veterans to high school dropouts, according to a press release from TLC. The students will be faced with tattoo challenges that mirror situations likely to arise in professional tattooing. The winner of the competition will receive a golden tattoo gun that can apparently last a lifetime.
The show, which first aired as a special in summer of 2011, has become controversial in the tattoo community. Some professional tattoo artists have bristled at the notion that two weeks worth of training is enough to enter the profession.

The bad blood between Ami James and Chris Torres has been simmering for what feels like aeons on "NY Ink" (Thu., 9 p.m. Est on TLC), but things finally came to ahead when the pair faced-off outside Wooster Street Social Club.
Ami told Chris to stop talking trash about his shop, and then things got more heated as the expletives started to fly.
As the two traded insults their respective crews got into it with each other on the sidewalk and the tension was palpable. Ami dissed Chris' level of protection, saying "you don't need no bodyguards!"
Eventually the guys went their separate ways and the situation calmed down.
However, as Robear was giving his side of the story with classic understatement -- "I don't know if anything really got resolved, you know" -- he was hit by something.

In the Season 2 finale of TLC's "NY Ink," Ami finally confronts Chris Torres about all the trash he's been talking about the Wooster Street Social Club tattoo parlor.
Sadly, it's also the series finale of the reality series, a spinoff of the popular "Miami Ink" that moved proprietor Ami James up north to New York City (and a much colder climate).
Zap2it has an exclusive first look at the episode, a climactic scene where Ami finally tells Chris off. It's not as explosive as we would've liked considering it's done via phone, but Ami certainly lays a verbal smackdown on his former coworker.
Elsewhere in the episode, Tim steps up to help keep the parlor running smoothly, and Megan struggles to choose between her budding career or following her newest guy.
The series finale "NY Ink" airs Thursday, March 1 at 9 p.m. on TLC.

Tommy Montoya was really excited on "NY Ink" ( Thu., 9 p.m. Est on TLC) because he was going to tattoo Bai Ling. Don't know who she is? Fear not, Tommy has the scoop: "She's that Asian chick in all the movies, with the big tattoo on her back."
Bai Ling is also familiar to television viewers from her stint on Season 5 of VH1's "Celebrity Rehab," where she struggled with her alcohol abuse and behavioral issues.
She said that she turned to alcohol as a way of sublimating the abuse she suffered as a child and that she finally went to rehab when she realized that the booze was destroying her.
Now, out of rehab and siz months sober, the actress decided to celebrate her newfound sobriety by getting some ink.
Looking at the moon and stars newly tattooed on her feet, Bai said "I'm so happy!"

On "New York Ink," (Thurs., 9 p.m. Est on TLC) Ami James spends most of his time doing tattoos and dealing with the drama of the Wooster Street Social Club.
But in an exclusive preview from tonight's episode, James travels back to Miami to pay a visit to his old tattoo shop, Love/Hate and to spend some quality time with his three-year-old daughter Shayli.
"When you have a kid it changes your whole life. You don't care about hardships you might go through as long as your kid's happy and safe," James reflects. "It's the greatest gift in the world."
James' "Shayli day" included a lunch outing, a trip to the zoo, some ice cream and a lot of adorable father-daughter moments. The episode showcases a softer side of James' personality that he doesn't usually put on display on "NY Ink."
But while James is away, the gang at the tattoo shop will play.

Competitive elimination shows are nothing new to reality TV. From Survivor to Dancing With the Stars to Project Runway, the format of dicing up an hour with a series of challenges followed by the terse assessment of a panel of judges has become so engrained that it can be tempting to think that the road to success always ends with a cash prize and a photo spread in a magazine. Having apparently studied their fair share of Top Chef episodes, Charlie Corwin (La Ink), Jay Peterson (NY Ink), Andrea Richter (American Ninja Warrior), and Allan Title (Dog the Bounty Hunter),

In this case, Megan Massacre brought all future ridicule and grief upon herself on "NY Ink" (Thu., 9 p.m. Est on TLC). After finding out that Tila Tequila had booked an appointment to come into the shop, the team jumped online to find out more about her. Ami James had some vague idea about her reality show "where she dated men, women, everything in between."
Online they found a lot of her modeling pictures, including the nude work she's done. This prompted Jessica to say, "I don't think people should do that ever."
Megan could have kept quiet at this point, but she didn't. "I've posed nude before," she revealed. "It's part of modeling."
The guys were already on the computer, so what did she think was going to happen. Almost immediately, her pictures started filling the screen. "Stop looking at me naked!" she shouted, but it was too late.

Tonight’s episode of TLC’s All-American Muslim focused on the 10th anniversary of 9/11. At the heart of the show was the Amen family’s debate over whether siblings Bilal and Shadia’s attendance at a commemoration ceremony was about them showing interfaith unity or feeling pressured to apologize for a horrible act they were not responsible for. You can imagine how carefully this hot-button hour was edited.

Finally, the trend of the day has to do with the strange behavior of seniors instead of the kids. Jenna Wolfe reported on older women getting their first tattoos, and going back for more, Monday on 'Today' (weekdays, 7Am on NBC) and wound up getting personally involved with the story to show her dedication to her job.
Wolfe visited Ami James of 'NY Ink,' who said that 55% of his clients were women. That includes 65-year-old artist Eileen Hickey-Hulme, who got a tattoo of a hand pointing a revolver directly at the viewer. "I feel tougher," she said after it was done. "I feel like I can hold my own."

Chris has been a bit of a loose cannon and a thorn in Ami James' side since he set up shop in New York City. This week on 'NY Ink' (Thu., 10Pm Et on TLC), the pair reached critical mass. It got so bad at one point, the other artists felt they should maybe step in to break them up.
Of course, even getting close led to Ami threatening to fire them as well. As it stood, he'd finally reached a breaking point in dealing with Chris' arrogance and condescending attitude.
"I would have acted perfectly normally had I been treated with the respect that I deserve," Chris said, as if his behavior was ultimately Ami's fault. In the end, it was the end for Chris, which in anger he said was the biggest favor Ami could do for him.

While tatting him up, Ami James came over and asked Method what he thought of the current state of hip-hop music.

There was tension, and a shoving match, between Ami James and tattoo artist Chris Torres on last week's debut of 'NY Ink' (Thur. 10Pm on TLC). On Thursday's show, James was already contemplating firing Torres, but let some of his staff talk him out of it. Eventually they agreed to settle their differences the old-fashioned way, by sparring in the basement gym of the Wooster Street Social Club. It didn't turn out so well for Torres.
"First kick, he hit my leg, he kicked me with a low kick," said James. That didn't sit well with him, so he returned the kick and split Toress' shin. Tores started out well, but wound up bloodied and pinned underneath James.

Today is Thursday which means that I got woken up by the delightful noise of my complex's dumpster being emptied (how is it that it's always so far away when you're carrying trash but sounds So Close when they dump it?) and as far as television goes it means next to nothing anymore. However, I know you "So You Think You Can Dance" fans are legion and there's another audition episode on tonight so that's, you know, auditiony. Also the second game of the NBA Finals but I'm not sure how popular the Dallas Mavericks are and I know that most people following the Heat are doing so more out of hatred of LeBron James or the idea that the team was able to manipulate the free agent system to basically buy themselves a Finals appearance than actual appreciation. I am not one of those people. Here's your Thursday night...

Reality and ink fans will remember him from "Miami Ink," which started in 2005 and ran about three years. The series follows Ami as he opens a shop, risking his reputation and finances on a huge new space, while recruiting an elite staff of artists whose personalities are as big as their tattoo skills. Watch for Ami's new artist Chris Torres, an old friend who delivers the drama. He's a good artist, but a management nightmare as he lifts fellow...

We just can't seem to get away from "Jersey Shore's" Angelina Pivarnick. First, the crew kicked her out of the house, then she somehow got back in for the Miami season only to get the boot again. We thought we were rid of her, but she keeps popping up. And now here she is getting a tattoo on TLC's new series, "NY Ink."
You may know the star of "NY Ink." It's Ami James formerly of "Miami Ink" and he's finally putting his money where his mouth is and returning to New York City to open up his own parlor in SoHo, the Wooster Street Social Club.
For eight episodes starting Thursday, June 2 at 10 p.m. Et, the series follows him as he tries to make his new business a success.

You know, it might be fun to watch Angelina in pain.
