Wish I had found this years ago!

Absolutely the best (and most hilarious) thing on ADD I've seen in 30 years as a teacher. Our son struggled to get through school and just made it. Although this is about adults, everything it says reflects on children as well. This film was made by ADD people, for ADD people; therefore, no segment lasts longer than five minutes. Several Canadian and American doctors give a variety of perspectives. The best-known is Ned Hallowell, the Harvard psychiatrist who wrote about his own ADHD in "Delivered from Distraction". Two major points are that ADD can present in 15 different ways which it shares with some other mental disorders. So, professional diagnosis is a must. It can be treated with 8 different medications, but sadly, trial and error is the only way. A true life-saver!

This documentary validated my ADHD existing - AND gave many solutions

I'll not play the spoiler here, and I won't give a LONG drawn out review either. This documentary validated many of the things people have said to me over the years. From my acting coach to my girlfriend who has two masters' degrees in Special Education, I had heard many comments over the years that I should get tested for ADD. Well, this show finally got through to me. It was the catalyst for making me find out more about my condition. If it gets people to pay at their website, then so be it. --- I don't know what the other reviewer is talking about. It gave lots of good advice if you actually watched it. My review comes from a place of knowledge, as I have full blown ADHD, with 17 of the 18 traits of my condition present. This show got me off my ass and made me look into my condition, which was diagnosed as "Hyperactivity Disorder" in my youth. I didn't believe it, and had been taken off Ritalin by a foster parent. It wasn't working, and he knew I was intelligent, so he had said - Why take it? It only made me more awake and didn't limit my ADHD episodes. --- This show put me on the path to discovery though. I recommend it highly to anyone who's not sure if they have the condition. RM

A lighthearted look at ADD but....

I really did enjoy the humorous and rather funny look at adult ADD in this show but I felt that it didn't really talk in depth about the condition as it applies to adults. Granted its less than an hour long so you can't cover very much but if it had been stretched out another 30 minutes and more useful information added it could have been helpful as a resource. As a sufferer of adult ADD myself I was looking for something that simply wasn't there, which was finding out more information. The show is essentially a promotional tool for their pay website which I will not list. If you think you've seen Patrick McKenna before, you have! He was on a memorable Stargate SG-1 episode as a bumbling USAF contract scientist who had ADD (though it was not explicitly stated in the show), and of course he plays a support character on the Red Green show, but he's wearing thick glasses and slicked back hair so he's almost unrecognizable.

Poorly Thought Out and Poorly Executed
blankman113 June 2012
Patrick McKenna seeks to explain ADD in a humorous way that educates people about the truths and untruths of the condition. The film is so unfunny, contrived, and annoyingly heavy handed that any level of education about the subject is lost to Patrick McKenna's constant awful jokes and uncomfortable mugging.

The film spends much of its time asking random people their views on ADD, exploring myths that do not exist, and generally wasting the viewers time as if the producers are getting paid by the minute.

ASS & Loving It?! is simply the worst made documentary I've ever seen, and Patrick McKenna, who I did not know of before seeing this film, is insufferable.
