Good punch lines (TOTAL SPOILERS)

Warning: Spoilers
I can't comment on this short film without spoiling it so please, in the unlikely event that you are reading this without having seen this funny little short then please take the 3 minutes to watch it first as the impact will be much less once you have read the spoilers herein. I was pointed to this short film by a distinguished gentleman who, when he's not enjoying the company of ladies, enjoys a film or two.

The plot sees a hamster on a wheel, roaming free in the countryside when he spots a cute hamster in a wheel a little ahead of him. Desperate to catch-up, he chases after her, starting a montage sequence that sees his pursuit take him to all the corners of the globe!

For the majority of this short I was a bit unimpressed. The animated hamsters were not cute like they would be in Pixar, the chase sequence had some cool design but seemed like an obvious montage and, if I'm honest, the very manly huffing and puffing noises the hamster was making with his exertions, sounded like an older man trying to knock one out and it did rather put me off. These thoughts were in my head when suddenly the hamster hit an invisible wall and the camera pans back to deliver the punch line. It wasn't hilarious but it was funny and drew a satisfied chuckle from me. The follow-up punch line is not quite as good but still quite pleasing because it also has impact and is funny.

Pretty good for such a short film; the hamsters could have been a bit more likable with some cuter animation and softer exertion noises, but the payoff is funny and comes just at the right time and in the right way.

Words cannot describe this short work of art. it is very inspiring and possibly life-changing. after letting my eyes be metaphorically massaged by this touching short, my life changed. hamsters are awesome

a sort of race

The film has, as basic virtue, the status to be one about its public. A beautiful mix of romance, competition, hard effort and travels in which the other is more important than the landscapes. The irony- clash against cruel reality is splendid. So, the story of Bob. And the meaning of a tough...race.
