The Darlene and her boss bit at the bar was mildly amusing, but the bulk of this episode was a bore. I just think the show needs to give other characters the spotlight for a change.

Let's get to the sole pro for this episode. It was nice seeing Robin again. Yeah, I realize it's been so long since they've shown Robin that people probably looked at the name and thought "Who's Robin?" This series rarely can create characters that you care about and of course they'll always push a character like Robin to the backburner.

Let's get to all the cons: Can we stop joking about 'when a Conner is successful'? I hear something like that and can't help thinking of a scene from "Bonanza" when they showed a tree that had Hoss and Joe's names carved on the tree. I was absolutely outraged that they were treating sexy Adam like he had never existed at all. So I bring this up because it seems like the series forgets DJ. The few times we see him, he seems to have his act together. It's not like we see him lamenting that life just gets harder and harder and he can't get a solid footing, etc.

All the finger pointing got on my nerves. Louise is upset at Dan giving so much of his time to his kids. Uh, I realize this might be a point where people disagree. Lot of people might say that the 3 kids are in their 40s and it's time they stood on their own two feet. I just think Dan's being a good dad. I can't see a point where he turns away from his kids and is all "Handle it by yourself."

Darlene and Robin want raises and they're trying to work together to get the raises by threatening to quit. They're let go. But we of course have a sitcom ending where they both get their jobs back and do end up getting the raises. Darlene is a grown woman. You take responsibility for your own actions instead of acting like Robin forced you to threaten to quit. It's not on Robin if you can't say and stick with "I can't afford to do this, Robin. I've got too much on the line to gamble like this."

I'm already over Beverly Rose's cutesy lines.

I do sympathize with Darlene's worrying about how she's gonna afford to do everything she needs to do. I think a lot of people can relate to that. And I also can sympathize when Darlene was talking about her low self esteem. Again, I feel like a lot of us can relate to that as well.
