Some cool scenes, but no need to splice timeline
alexkelly-7373527 April 2022
Some entertaining content, but unnecessarily choppy jumping perspectives. Also director really ought to have a chat about the lack of emotion/depth from some characters lol. Superman/Tyler growing into the role pretty well though.

Really nice episode
snwlonelysoldierboy29 April 2022
A nice well made episode, just when i thought it was a Lana free episode... she was there...we can all now agree that the Lana drama family is there just as filler we definitely don't need that crap nor Sarah's. Nice wink at the Reign of the Supermen's Superboy.

Hope we can get more episodes like this abour SUPES!

Great episode except some events don't add up (or were not explained)
markross247428 April 2022
Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't it Bizarro Superman who killed John's wife and Nathalie's mum Lois Lane???

Surely the back story in this episode should have had those three together, with no Jonathan or Jordan.

On a plus side, it's great to actually see some action again - it has been a long time coming - and apart from my original question, the story is great!

Another great episode
Njinked27 April 2022
I thought this episode was phenomenal. Was exciting to see some good fight scenes/ with superpowers. A lot of times with the CW DC superhero shows, they start the season off with great fight scenes and awesome displays of their superpowers/ then abruptly shift to corny "filler episodes" with absolutely no powers, turning the show corny.

It was great and refreshing , and loved the twist and turns with the story line and learning more with the Bizzaro world. - looking forward to next week 🤓

It was great
jaydenessig27 April 2022
I don't know what the 1 star reviewer is taking about. The acting was good as always. Some of the stuff was pretty stereotypical and predictable but still good. A bit corny and cheesy but I thought it was fine. Questions are answered, we know more about the bizarro world, and all the backwards stuff was cool. Lastly, there were some good twists. Hopefully there are no more breaks so this show can build momentum again.

Incredible Episode!! The best so far this season. Answers all our questions,
mrjimtherock27 April 2022
From top end CGI to superior story telling, this episode was incredible. Bizarro Superman is fully explained, elaborated on, and his whole world is shown. Showing us why he did what he did and ultimately his motivation, which was family.

One of the best alternate universe episodes
georgiaelvakeating27 April 2022
Alternate universe episodes are always my favourites and this one did not disappoint! It was a great blend of both comedic/interesting in terms of seeing different versions of characters as well as using it to drive the plot of this season forward. What made it even better was a the amazing acting of both Tyler Hoechlin and Bitsie Tulloch, that scene where they argued with each other about her leaving was probably the best piece of acting I've seen in a teen/CW show in a long while, possible ever. Really great to see the writers expanding and improving on the classic 'alternate universe' trope used in these kinds of shows.

Just like a comic book
mattwelteree28 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
SPOILERS: This is the first episode I have seen of series to actually look and feel like a comic book. Like Watchmen, It jumps from time period to time period and perspective to perspective. There are a few little jokes here and there (the president and the pet on the counter, but this Bizarro world is more serious, and it does not linger romantically on feelings and understanding. It is a nightmare on a frenzied roller coaster ride that keeps getting worse and worse. Kudos especially goes to the detail that Bizarro world is made for the small screen. Not only is Bizarro world a cube, it also has a cubed atmosphere and a cubed sun. Like a comic book it has a color palette like X-men's Cyclop's POV. The Kent Farmhouse is drawn with painstaking detail to be the opposite of it's real world counterpart. The house is filthy, dishes aren't done, cupboards are in disrepair, mail is piled up and it needs a ton of painting outside. This episode is full of Easter eggs. If it were a real comic it would be one of the best Bizarro issues ever.

The very obvious muscle suit makes him look off
sumtim3s00n27 April 2022
Maybe I did not notice before but all of a sudden buffed up significantly, it looked so much better before and proportionally styled to his body type with some extra buff.

Also simply cannot compare to 1st season in general.

This show was such a breath of fresh air in the first season. Now it is mostly lame drama, lots of flashy costumes/make up fetishes and unnecessary scenes/flashbacks. Superman has become second to relationship melodrama.

And all the time something is "about to happen". Stretching out and stretching out with filler empty melodrama scenes instead of creating full and interesting eps with quality writing.

Ugh....

Warning: Spoilers
OMG this episode was the best in the entire series I loved it, there was lot of action. I think this is the best show in the CW so far let's see if Flash can compete with it.

Worst episode in a so far excellent series
terrylarosa27 April 2022
Though I'm sure the actors relished acting as different characters this was a discombobulating episode. Some good action marred by weird storytelling. Though I could easily tell when it was a flashback; it was still jarring when they cut back to the present and the nonlinear style was off putting as well. The acting was top notch as usual though. Let's hope they don't visit Bizarro World again any time soon.

Bizarros in a Bizarro World
Prismark107 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It's like those Star Trek episodes where they end up in the mirror universe. The characters are slightly different and some of them are just evil.

This channels the same groove. It looks at Superman going through the portal and arriving in Bizzaro's world. Told in chapters, each one focuses on different characters.

Bizarro here is addicted to saving the world, being a celebrity and hooked on Kryptonite. Bizarro Jonathan Kent has superpowers but has his head turned by Bizarro Ally Allston.

To stop both Ally Allstons, Superman finds an unexpected ally in Lt Mitch Anderson.

Some of the story arcs felt rushed such as Anderson's redemption story which I could not really buy into.

There were a few nice touches in Bizarro World. It was a bit low tech, like the Reliant Robin supplied by Trotters Independent Trading.

for teenagers
stuwright0527 April 2022
This episode was not good, i'd say if i was a teen still,I would of liked it, the last episode ,#9 was great, this was all over the place , a rush to explain the bizarro world and what had happened there ,I really did'nt care for it, and this merging nonsense I dont care for that either......whats good about this series is the character development but this was rushed and childish. What a shame.

So many things at once all of it awesome
sophiejensen-130632 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Okay Anderson gets way too much hate to begin with. A lot of that is either explained, excused, undone or repaired in this episode. Which is one of three reasons I freaking love it. One: it's inventive. Two it's probably as amazing for fans of the comics who know there are two backstories to Bizzaro in the first place as it is to fans of life-action Superman stories, who don't know the rest of the stuff too well. People probably found the going back and forth in the episode a little confusing but I loved it. Anderson had a hard time seeing Superman as anything but Superman and had gone over the edge a couple episodes earlier. Here he learned the truth about literally who he was fighting, that the multiverse even existed or at least that Bizzaro wasn't a clone of Superman but had a life and people he was fighting for. And his jaw was probably to the floor when he saw an Alice in Wonderland version of people he knew. We as the audience knew this was coming, knew what was going on had more of the story than Superman and were pretty blown away. Which is almost always a crowning achievement unto itself.

But also in one completely crushing moment Anderson saw that the solider he killed at Tal's fortress wasn't a monster, he was a family man. And that Superman himself, the Superman he knew and had mistrusted since day one, had a family and had a reason to play things so close to the vest, to put it mildly. He made things right with Superman and instead of getting home like Superman suggested/wanted he fought literally to the death, however out-matched he was. Personally I think a big part of why Superman could forgive him so easily is he realized that even if it was for a good reason, keeping Anderson in the dark about so many things could not have helped the man trust him. That maybe he should have extended some trust to the man...or at least let him know more of what was going on so the guy could make reasonable decisions.

Tal Rho was awesome. Seeing Bizzaro Tal Rho so close to his brother. Bizzaro had said he and his Tal Rho were the closest of brothers and we actually saw that relationship. Superman, obviously didn't. But He saw and experienced what Tal Rho was willing to do to make it right. Whatever 'it' was.

A largely non-linear episode
heatsink9827 April 2022
We spend most of this episode in the past, visiting events that fill in the details of the Bizarro world. While the backstory is nice, it doesn't advance much of the plot in the present. It's a risk when writing flashbacks since unless the visits to the past contain more than just "so this happened, but it doesn't raise any questions", it's dull. We ended up skipping ahead during the flashbacks since they got boring. This episode eventually catches everyone up to the end of the prior episode in the series.

bosporan27 April 2022
Superman through the looking glass to Wonderland where the rules are capriciously different. Some of the Bizarro characters are better than their normal counterparts, notably Lois and Lana who are much more creatively written, being both challenging and charismatic. Jonathan, though, is an overdrawn caricature and placed into ludicrous immersion breaking situations.

The story is flimsy and it is difficult to maintain interest in this rapidly deteriorating season.

Terrible

Totally confusing. Doesn't make any sense. In a quite okay series this episode was a real dud. A bomb. One of the worst in a long time. Was everybody on acid? No grownups was around anyhow.

CRINGEY
heisrizen7 August 2022
I was totally into the show, but it's gets more thrown together on every new episode I watch. Nothing makes sense, extremely cringey, and almost comical. The bizarro world plot was a terrible arc in this series so far. I was a faithful watcher, but this episode did it for me.

One of the loosest plot of this episode Warning: Spoilers
Villains want a pendant. Superman, instead of hiding the pendant on his person or somewhere else, instead comes out of the building with it in his hand and keeps on fighting multiple super powered opponents while holding the pendant in his hands openly. No surprise that the multiple villains succeed in wresting the pendant from him. One of the worst story writing that i have ever seen.
