A wonderful companion piece to "Guard Dog".

Bill Plympton's short film, "Guide Dog", is a truly wonderful film--one not to be missed. It consists of a truly annoying and insane dog taking a walk with its owner through the park--and the dog WAY overreacting to everything it perceives as a threat. It's so over the top and silly that it's something you must see. Then, after you've seen this highly original film, then try seeing "Guard Dog Global Jam"!

"Guard Dog Global Jam" is the original story but this time animated by several dozen different animators--all using their particular style. Each segment only lasts a few seconds and lovers of animation will really love seeing all these clips--and the overall package. Interestingly, my favorite was at the very beginning--the mosaic-like portion. Well worth seeing and quite clever.

Warning: Spoilers
"Guard Dog Global Jam" is a remake of one short done by Bill Plympton in the year 2004, called simply "Guard Dog". This time, the same short is entirely redone by 75 different animators, each of whom re-interpret a fraction of the original film with their own style.

The final result is something way more surreal than the original short and it also way more impressive, reuniting in a very brief an insane amount of many different animation styles (Some better than others, but the whole thing is awesome to watch anyway)

"Guard Dog Global Jam" is an impressive reprise, which I highly recommend to any viewer, specially those who liked the original "Guard Dog".

10/10 (And I would rate it with eleven stars if I could)
