No dialogue needed!

A great short film that needs no dialogue. The character, played by Vancouver's own Corey Schmitt, grunts and visually expresses his emotions as he strives to meet an important life goal. Schmitt keeps our eyes on his face as we follow him through his attempts to realize and achieve his intent. You want to take the ride with him, but avoid the obvious pain involved in his journey.

Cinematography in the film is tight. There is great use of dark and light that mirrors the feelings of the character. The music in the film adds to the moodiness and darkness, and a rather chilling ending makes us ask ourselves about what we do in our lives to succeed.

A winner at the 2022 Oregon Short Film Festival (Fall), and winner in the acting and directing categories for Corey Schmitt and James Weicker at the Chilliwack Independent Film Festival, Blister will gain momentum as more dark movie fans see this very watchable short movie.
