There are many traditions and I think this is a great documentary of one of the many in Switzerland still cherished by young and old today. Many breath taking mountain scenery shots are shown throughout the film. There are magnificent close ups of fine detail crafted by the farmers and locals taking part. It contains a summary of the history of the tradition, how it changed from generation to generation and what it means to those who are familiar with it. There are portraits of those who remember how the tradition was in the days of his grandfather and of those who have children who are carrying on the tradition in their footsteps. The traditional yodel captured with the emotions that they bring to the people who are there is fascinating. A great tradition portrayed in a brilliant documentary.
