Despite the attention seekers over here, this episode was hilarious! Great and refreshing new sketches kept me alive. Selena's Miley impression was dead on and she really had fun during the episode. Punkie, Sarah and Melissa were scene stealers of this episode. Hats of to Sarah for her Weekend Update chaos!

I grew up watching SNL and I recently stopped watching due to lack of entertainment. Once I saw selena was hosting I just had to watch and I was not disappointed. She is incredibly multi talented ! She could just do it all! WOULD LOVE to see her again.

Wasn't SNL supposed to be the show that takes risk and did edgy comedy once upon a time?
The "jokes" are just so tame and timid now. For example, there was a sketch where the entire premise was "chulas talk funny". That was "the" joke.
It's like the cast has become so ingratiated with the entertainment industry that they've forgotten their main job is to make fun of that industry. But they can't do that anymore for fear of missing out on their own future paychecks.
Regrow your spine, SNL.

From monologue to the last skit Selena Gomez on her debut as a host was hilarious and looked comfortable. Her acting and comedy skills showed why she's been part of many popular shows such as "Only Murders in the Building" and "Wizards of Waverley Place"

It's not a funny show. It IS actually funny that the writers, producers and actors THINK this is comedy. Weekend Update was horrible as usual. I remember telling a joke and laughing at when I was 5 or 6. You'd think a professional comedian who wrote the jokes, and probably rehearsed the joke 20 times before airing, would know that 1. The joke isn't even funny, and 2. You simply don't laugh at your OWN jokes.

I watched the show and inmediatly I love it,Selena is so funny and did it fantastic and exquisite, I'm from Argentina she was tendency for over 90000 twitts,it was impressive.the show was really refreshing ,funny,it had me with a bug smile in my face until the end! She crushed the comedy aspect, was very bold and confident and you could tell with how she carried herself. All the skits were hilarious and very much entertaining, you could also tell that she memorized her lines. Her flow was effortless. In addition, her monologue was nostalgic and hilarious at the same time, it made me laugh out loud and it also made me remember my childhood cuz I watched her a LOT.

Thirty-something Gomez manages to present a slightly deadpan, formal and reserved, albeit bemused, air of quiet dignity amidst the calamitous events going on around her that are alleged to be comedy sketches. Like many former child actors, her transition to adult roles has not been automatic, preordained or easy.
The raucous laughter emanating from an unseen audience suggests paid extras with loud voices.
Even the injection of a prerecorded video starring "SNL" legend Steve Martin and veteran Aidy Bryant could not rejuvenate this episode.

Her monologue was perfect, the end with singing barney song OMG! She killing it, she was happy and glowing... love all the skits and of course I have my favorites, everybody was great and it was an unforgettable saturday night, thanks for inviting Selena. Post malone was amazing, everithing last night was perfect, thank you for an wonderful night, dont forget to support "only murders in the buiding" season 2 is too close.

Selena Gomez just nailed the show. Her acting and comedy skills showed why she's been part of many popular shows such as Only Murders in the Building and Wizards of Waverley Place. Acting and comedy was delivered on time. Even her way of taking the show to next level is simply superb. Never wonder why she is called as hardworking multi-talented celebrity in the industry.
