A truly inspirational, eye-opening film
djpug2579 July 2013
The message in "The Movement: One Man Joins an Uprising," a combination of different plot lines of individuals overcoming physical limitations and experiencing the rewarding experience of sport, is quite unique and profound. Not only does this film inspire its audience to pursue in the face of any challenge, but it also provides insight to the world of disabled sports-- a realm that is not necessarily that well-known, but is an extremely important opportunity provider for those individuals that struggle with physical disabilities. Furthermore, the cinematography and musical score are enjoyable and extremely well-taken, and they boost the already profound storyline.

I found this film through Make A Hero - its really inspiring and I learned a great deal about adaptive sports.

This film really moved me. I felt that the individual's whose stories have been told here, are going to go a long way in helping people see each other with equality. Beyond the surface of things, there is no difference between somehow with a physical disability and someone without; we all have the power and ability to do some amazing things if we put our minds and our heart's to it. After watching The Movement, I learned about adaptive sports and adaptive sports groups. I did not know about these aspect of sports and of life until I saw this film. I also checked out the website for Make A Hero.org and found that they are still active and are working on more movies. They have my support, and after watching The Movement, I'm sure you will feel the same way.

Great Movie On Adaptive Sports, Inspiring
kjkrahenbuhl8 July 2013
A great movie that is not only educational but inspiring. The stories of the five disabled athletes are interesting. The movie revolves around the return of Rick Finkelstein to the ski slopes of Aspen. The film makers did a great job of bringing all five stories together to show perspectives on adaptive sports. The stories of these athletes are not only inspiring, but very impressive as well. They prove that having a disability isn't the end of anything. Great film that shows a whole new world of adaptive sports. The film making is also impressive with sites and sounds of the mountains in great quality. The soundtrack is also very impressive.

Make a Hero Masterpiece!

Just as my summary says, this movie is a masterpiece!! I am an individual (and athlete) with a disability and have been told by many people that I come across, that I am an inspiration. This movie inspired me beyond belief! I have been struggling with things in my personal life as well as my training endeavors and this film has rejuvenated me! Thank you so much to the filmmakers from Make A Hero!

If you have been struggling with any aspect of your life, I encourage you to see this film. It will make A world of difference. There aren't many things in this world that will only cost a few bucks and change your perspective on life. The Movement will do just that!

Like the movie says, just get up and try. -JM

Loved The Movement
crinteractivellc9 July 2013
I learned about this film from a friend who has a disability and found this film to be helpful and inspiring. I recommend anyone to watch this movie. It shows some very inspiring people finding freedom through adaptive sports. I love it. Rick Finkelstein is a guy who has made it through a lot. I'm glad I found out about this movie and about their group. Very inspiring. You should watch :) Skiing must be really hard to do on one ski. Most people in a wheelchair aren't used to this. But they make it if they try. I want to go try skiing now and I have never done it. So cool. This movie is great, loved it! If there are any more films out there like this one I would watch. I support helping people with disabilities and making more people see each other as equals.
