I wasn't sure what I was watching at first, a douche neurosurgeon, or a crazy man who thinks he is a doctor. But, after three episodes I can say that this is a great show! Michael tries so hard to not care, he seems like he doesn't even want to care, but he ends up doing everything he can to save the patients he encounters. A man with the case of the "hot shots" turns into a truly gifted man with heart. I am glad I stuck through the first and second episodes, as the third rounded out the character! Watch this if you like medical shows that make you gasp cry and end up loving each of the characters introduced. One last thought, I was a little peeved at first when I thought "where is all the medical stuff, surgery, tests" But, you do end up seeing Michael work his "magic" Great show, if you watch it, try to watch through the first three episodes before making a decision on hating or loving it!

Nice to see the softer side of Dr. Holt but his arrogance is a terrific part of the character, too. Good writing and acting. Can't wait for the next episode!! Bringing a little sensuality between Dr. Holt and the married Dr. Kate at the clinic is an interesting subplot but I would not like to see an affair. The sexual tension is enough. Michael needs to focus on his work and his clinic patients. He has enough to juggle without adding women to the mix. I would like to see more men on TV choosing celibacy instead of sleeping with every woman that comes along. We need some heroes who step out of the mold and prove there are real men who are above that immorality. Our Teens and young people need role models who choose to turn away from that lifestyle.
