- A teen boy and teen girl go swimming at a water park in one scene. At one point, the girl's bra accidentally slips off and she tries to cover her breasts. She then accidentally falls on the boy.
- A teen girl is raped by several men in a flashback. She's seen naked with her breasts seen and semen on her thighs. At one point, a man thrusts offscreen while she cries and is seen moving back and forth. This is a VERY disturbing scene.
- A teen girl attempts to have several men rape another teen girl. They're seen tearing off her clothes while she begs them not to. They're stopped before anything can happen, but she's seen wearing just panties with her bare breasts seen as she attempts to cover herself.
- A teen girl is seen naked while getting ready to have a bath, her buttocks and the sides of her breasts are briefly seen.
- A teen girl urinates on the ground near a teen boy. She looks embarrassed and asks the boy to "not listen" to the noise. The teen boy then says he smells something, and the girl mistakenly believes he's referring to her urine.
- A teen boy trips and accidentally pulls down a teen girl's pants, exposing her panties briefly (not sexual or very graphic)
- A young woman goes to the bathroom while handcuffed to a man. He keeps himself out of eyesight of this, but she repeatedly calls him a pervert.
- Two teen girls are seen naked in a pool with their breasts seen briefly. One then stands up while the other tries to cover her breasts. They're both later seen in the same bed together, with one's robe partially open, exposing the sides of her breasts.
- A teen girl has a catatonic teen boy bound to a chair while she talks to him in a bra and panties, implying that she's trying to seduce him. She then attempts to take off his underwear, but gets stopped.
- Several men attempt to rape a teen girl, they touch her breasts, then forcefully hold her down before they start taking off her clothes and unzipping their pants. They're stopped before they can do anything, but it's still pretty disturbing. She then hugs a teen boy while topless and her breasts are briefly seen.
- A teen girl dresses herself up as a geisha and then a dominatrix, trying to seduce a teen boy. However, he ends up being scared by this instead. This scene is played for laughs.
- A teen girl strips herself naked in front of a teen boy in one scene and tries to seduce him (saying sexual things as well). Her breasts are seen, as the horrified boy attempts to run away. This is a disturbing scene as it seems like the boy is being raped.
- A teen girl is seen locked in a cage, and the floor in it is wet, implying that she urinated herself.

- A character is raped multiple times in a scene. She is shown naked and her breasts are exposed. An image of her naked and crying between the rapes is shown several times in one episode. It's not graphic, but extremely disturbing.
- A character in charge of a cult tells her followers to rape a girl. The girl's clothes are ripped off except for her underwear, but another character runs and and stops them before they can do anything else.
- There are multiple murders, often involving weapons including a dart, knives, hatchets, or pistols.
- One of the characters is a terrorist and is seen multiple times blowing things up with explosives. In one scene a school is targeted and multiple people, including school kids, are killed in the explosions.
- A character is stabbed in the eye with a dart.
- A little boy is stabbed in the chest and killed.
- A character killed two people by trapping them in a cage and letting them starve to death. Their bodies are shown countless times months after the incident.
- DVD/UNCUT
- A teen girl is hacked to death with a hatchet. Lots of blood sprays and she pleads for the attacker to stop. She then writes a message on the wall in her own blood and begs for help before dying. (more emotional than violent, but still pretty brutal)
- The rape scene is shown more, with her shaking and grunting in several moments. Her bare breasts can be seen and afterwards semen is visible on her thighs.
- No censoring in the other violence. You see everything, including people's throats getting slashed and their heads taken off as well as an eyeball very briefly being pulled out of its socket.
- A teen girl shoots a teen boy in the leg with a crossbow. Blood is seen and he screams in pain, then the girl threatens to kill him.
- A teen girl holds a knife to another teen girl's throat and threatens to kill her unless she kills herself. However, she gets stopped before anything can happen.

- "Bitch" is used a few times as well as a few other minor swear words including "bastard", "ass",
- Language might be different depending if you are watching subs. Some might me worse than others.
- DVD/UNCUT
- "Fuck" is said quite a few times throughout the series, but not too often, but other swear words such as "shit" and the ones listed above are used quite a bit.

- (Deleted. Personal opinions about ratings are not appropriate for the Parents Guide.)
- The entire theme of the anime is a contest to get god-like abilities and KILL whoever gets in your way, children are seen murdering other people to get to the top, also there are many other themes, like suicide, rape, etc.
- One character is very sadistic and tries to kill many people for little to no reason. The main character is the only one to keep her from actually doing so, but she's still very disturbing nonetheless.
- As stated in {Violence and Gore}: A character is shown being raped. This (to most people) is considered very disturbing.

Violence & Gore
- A teen boy has his throat slit by a teen girl. He's seen bleeding profusely from this. She then slashes him repeatedly while he's walking, before then cutting his head off. We see his headless body walking for a few minutes before it then collapses.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
- Yuno (the main character) drugged Yuki and kept him as a prisoner.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- A character was abused by her mother and often locked in a cage while being verbally tormented. At one point, she's seen in the cage, and it's revealed that she ate a carpet out of desperation, though ended up choking on it, and it's implied she urinated herself as well.
- The main character is tricked into believing his friends will betray him and ends up killing them all with little reason. This scene is EXTREMELY sad and depressing. However, he manages to prevent their deaths by traveling back in time.
- The last few episodes are extremely sad and depressing, but has a happy ending.
