Bloody Cuts has terrified thousands of people, and they’re stepping up their game with an HD gloss on their new anthology series, The Outer Darkness. The horror short filmmakers are turning their focus to serialized storytelling. “As Bloody Cuts developed, the one thing we regretted was not really tying up the series with an overarching narrative or at least a consistent world,” director/producer Ben Franklin says. “The great thing with The Outer Darkness is it gives us a chance to basically reset everything, and take all we learned through making our original series and apply it to something entirely new and fresh.” This comes on the heels of fresh success for Black Mirror in the Us, and the new Bloody Cuts project’s title definitely evokes another famous anthology series, but the the flavor is unique to their sensibilities. This isn’t Charlie Brooker’s pitch dark satirical humor or Leslie Stevens’ uncomfortable sci-fi imagination...

Here's a fantastically made horror short film that you'll want to watch called Don't Move. It was directed by Anthony Melton from a script written by David Scullion. It's another entry in the Bloody Cuts anthology of short horror movies. This is an awesome film, and I liked the concept. Here's a little description...
Set on one fateful night, six friends gather for their monthly ‘games night’… and accidentally unleash a demonic force that might tear them - and their friendships - to pieces.
For those of you like me who enjoy the horror genre, you're going to enjoy this.

We've made no secret of our love for British anthology series Bloody Cuts. The team is assembling 13 short films to put together into one large project. And all the films have been outstanding. However, with Don't Move the Bloody Cuts team has outdone themselves.
Made in association with Millennium F/X, Don't Move is an amazing short film. The guys at Bloody Cuts have proven time and time again that they can build tension, but they do it better than ever in this picture. You will be absolutely blown away by the effects in this film. It contains a monster that is better quality than almost anything you've seen in feature films in years, and the death scenes are top notch. And by the way, the last death is absolutely stunning. Don't Move is a damn near perfect short film. #Awesome!

Why Watch? After their previous entries, the team at Bloody Cuts essentially has a standing invitation to be featured here. They consistently make high quality, intriguing horror work, and I hope sincerely that they make more than the promised thirteen movies they have planned. Don’t Move is their eighth, and it combines claustrophobia with hellacious creature design courtesy of Cliff Wallace (Hellraiser, 28 Days Later…) and Millennium FX. Six friends get together for a game night that results in them unleashing a powerful entity that’s a lot like a T-Rex: it can only see you when you move, and it loves ripping vital body parts away from their owners. The short itself plays out like a bottle episode of a television show with heightened parameters. Writer David Scullion and director Anthony Melton achingly squeeze out all the angst that comes along with watching characters unable to move, but there’s nothing inert about the plot as...

Want to see another great horror short? Well, Bloody Cuts' Dead Man's Lake is really quite fantastic! The story has a couple of surprising twists and turns, and as far as the ending goes... I didn't see it coming. I think you're going to like this one.
Based on true events, that took place in 1984, in Norfolk, England... When 3 campers visit a private lakeside hideaway for some summer fun, little do they know the horror that awaits them...
"Dead Man's Lake", an homage to the classic slasher flicks of the '80s, is the sixth episode in the Bloody Cuts anthology, as well as being the directorial debut of series producer/creator Ben Franklin.
Watch the short for yourself and tell us what you thought! Enjoy! ...
