The story is an unusual one and covers a time period that was critically important when Lithuania was fighting to restore its independence. While politicians did their thing, a bunch of rockers took off in a bus to tour the country and make music. The difference was, that they had a message that was understood by not only the young, but by the older generation as well. Their cross country journey served to bring together an entire country in its unconventional approach. Were they off the wall crazy? Some of the things they did certainly made them seem so, however, they were quite focused and inflamed masses and masses of Lithuanians to finally let loose and go for freedom in a big way - through music. The movie uses interviews intertwined with Soviet documentary footage that in some places makes you bust a gut laughing. Good story, good directing, good editing and a great film with a highly entertaining cast of characters who formed a civic foundation for a real nation to reemerge. Enjoy every bit of this clever and creative film. You'll want to watch it again as soon as you've finished to try to absorb all of the layers. It is a film to be enjoyed more than once.

First of all, as a Lithuanian, I probably cannot write an objective review for this film based on its content, but I truly believe that this documentary can be enjoyed by everyone interested in recent Europe history. In past 30-35 years so many reforms have taken place in Europe, that it's so easy to overlook Lithuania's part in it. Lithuania was the first country to declare independence from Soviet regime in early 90's. This film illustrates how important was art and youth movements in fight for independence at that time.
It's so easy to take freedom for granted, but especially in 2023, it's important to remind ourselves that everything can changed overnight - for better or worse.
