The glyphs for this episode spell out: DEATH
In the alternate timeline, you can tell that in the alternate universe there is a small difference. The Fringe Division logo is different, but similar to the one in the future timeline that Peter visited in the season 3 finale.
David Robert Jones states there are 47 of the "new" shape-shifters. 47 is seen throughout J. J. Abrams' productions. He likely noticed Joe Menosky's frequent use of it, most noticeable in StarTrek: The Next Generation, and wanted to pay homage. It brought him luck as he went on to produce and direct Star Trek features. It is also a prime number.
"David Robert Jones", played by Jared Harris, is David Bowie's birth name. It's the second Fringe character name related to Bowie, after "Thomas Jerome Newton", played by Sebastian Roché, which is the name of the character Bowie played in The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976).
Similar to Martin Luther King being on the twenty dollar bill in the Red Universe in the season two episode "Over There", David Robert Jones is seen giving out 100 dollar bills in the episode with Andrew Johnson's picture on the bill instead of Ben Franklin.
