Taylor Swift feels it’s time to possibly direct a feature film.
“If it were the right thing, it would be such a privilege and honor,” the singer-songwriter told the Toronto Film Festival during an In Conversation With… appearance.
But don’t expect Swift to direct action sequences. “I will always want to tell human stories about human emotion,” she insisted, before giving a shout out to fellow women directors like Nora Ephron, Chloe Zhao and Greta Gerwig as influences on her fledging career.
“It’s really beautiful that we’re in a place where the idea of a female filmmaker doesn’t make you roll your eyes or think as skeptically as it once was,” Swift said. During the discussion, the singer-songwriter talked about her evolution as a film director by initially writing songs and then setting words and music to film...

Taylor Swift has announced a new album.
During her acceptance speech for Video of the Year at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, the 32-year-old singer said that her new album will drop on 21 October.
“I will tell you more at midnight,” Swift said.
The Lover singer wowed fans with a surprise appearance at this year’s VMAs at New Jersey’s Prudential Stadium on Sunday, 28 August.
The artist, who has a storied relationship with the awards, wore a dazzling, sheer diamond-look ensemble by designer Oscar de la Renta.
Returning to the awards after a three-year hiatus, Swift was nominated in all five categories, winning Best Longform Video, for her work on All Too Well: The Short Film, as well as Video of the Year.
The song is largely believed to be inspired by Swift’s former relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal, though, the singer has never explicitly confirmed this.

Sometimes there’s no better ratings boost for an unauthorized account of a celebrity’s life than that person speaking out against it. Or in the case of HBO’s “Winning Time,” several folks. Thanks to former world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson’s documented displeasure with Hulu digging into his very public life, the eight-part limited series “Mike” has landed more eyeballs. The question, however, is will they be satisfied with what they see?
Initially, the answer is no. Unlike Tyson in his heyday, “Mike” takes a minute to heat up. Despite teasing Tyson shockingly biting rival Evander Holyfield’s ear to kick off the series, the first episode “Thief” travels back to Tyson’s rough Brooklyn upbringing as the youngest child being raised by a poor, single mother of three. It’s a bleak existence that’s truly hard to watch, mostly due to Zaiden James’ very effective performance as young Mike.

Taylor Swift has got bad blood with an author. The "Don't Blame Me" singer is facing a new copyright lawsuit that alleges she ripped off the book that accompanied her 2019 album Lover from a self-published book of poems under the same name. In a complaint filed in a Tennessee federal court on Aug. 23, author Teresa La Dart claimed that "design and textual elements" from her 2010 book Lover were copied into Swift's book. According to legal documents, obtained by E! News, La Dart's lawyers claim that Swift's book—which sold 2.9 million copies in the U.S. alone—infringes La Dart's copyrights and the Grammy winner now owes their client in...
