The Elf on the Shelf and its interactive hide-and-seek game play has grown into a beloved holiday tradition among families with young children, with the tiny toy showing up in creative spots each morning and serving as Santa Claus’ eyes and ears throughout the Christmas season. The “Bob’s Burgers Music Album” is coming your way May 12, and it’s loaded up with more goodies than a Poutine on the Ritz Burger.
This is not the time to be modern and go the digital route for your music. Hell, even buying the CDs isn’t old-school enough. Instead, if you buy the the “Bob’s Burgers Music Album” deluxe limited-edition gift box, that comes with three LPs (in “condiment-colored” vinyl?!), a Bob’s Buskers seven-inch white vinyl LP, a hardbound lyric book (for those times you need to know more than just “Butts, Butts, Butts”), a sheet music collection, three original posters and a lot more. What is “more” you ask? Take a look at the unboxing video below featuring Teddy’s hairy arms and mumbly narration to see everything:
Of course, the two-cd album is still chockfull of “Bob’s Burgers” audio goodness, which amounts to 107 songs.

I've got a fantastically twisted Christmas short film for you to watch called "There Shall Come Angels." It comes from the creator and writer of Burn Notice Matt Nix and Yo Gabba Gabba writer and director Matt Fackrell.
The two wanted to make a short film to send to family and friends as a holiday card. What starts out as an adorable, sweet story quickly takes a very dark turn. It's a good reminder not to piss off any child carolers that come singing at your door during this festive season. Here's a brief synopsis:
On a winter's night, a group of young carolers bring Christmas magic to a suburban neighborhood... very, very hardcore Christmas magic.
The reactions that Nix and Fackrell got from their family and friends from the short inspired them to throw it up online for the world to see and enjoy. Some of the reactions they received included,...

The idea of unmanned aerial vehicles hovering over Walt Disney World en masse is enough to create a profound feeling of unease. But relax, everybody. It’s just part of the fun. In its estimable wisdom, the Faa has granted Disney a four-year permit to deploy drones at its theme parks. By the end of this month, the drones will be incorporated into a holiday-themed, nighttime lighting display at Disney Springs, an outdoor shopping center at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. There’s already a teaser video for it on YouTube.
Though this is all meant to be whimsical, there is something undeniably unsettling about it, too. The drones are controlled by a team of technicians in a Nasa-like control room that could be thousands of miles away. Yes, they’re creating Christmas magic, but they could also be calling in an airstrike. And then the drones themselves hover...

Central Intelligence star Kevin Hart has entered talks to suit up as Father Christmas for Disney’s festive comedy, Dashing Through the Snow.
That’s according to The Hollywood Reporter, confirming today that should a deal fall into place, Hart will buddy up with his Ride Along 2 producer Will Packer. The Mouse House has also drafted in John Jacobs (Ted) and Kristin Burr to oversee development.
Citing Liar Liar and the seemingly timeless Elf as inspirations, Dashing Through the Snow tells the story of a “New York City detective who is a workaholic and has a strained relationship with his son. The only thing that may be able to repair the father-son relationship is the one true Santa Claus who has to make the man believe in Christmas magic.”
It’s a bankable pitch, and fans of Elf will no doubt pinpoint comparisons to James Cann and Will Ferrell’s most unusual relationship.

In the sixth season finale of “Bob’s Burgers,” Bob Belcher (H. Jon Benjamin) prepares for a big interview with Coasters Magazine that is set to put his restaurant on the map. Unfortunately, his kids Louise (Kristen Schaal), Gene (Eugene Mirman), and Tina (Dan Mintz) are causing a ruckus with their long-running “goop war,” where someone tricks another into feeling a goop-like substance. Bob accidentally gets caught in their goop war when he finds himself glued to the toilet, a Louise prank meant for Gene, mere hours before the Coasters Magazine people come. While his family and friends try to pull him off, he ends up singing a musical duet with Louise, who feels guilty for accidentally gluing her father to the toilet, called “Bad Stuff Happens In The Bathroom.”

Isabelle Laperuta thought she'd been naughty. Thankfully, New Jersey police realized the 7-year-old was just trying to be nice. Izzy accidentally touched the Elf on the Shelf in her Old Bridge, New Jersey, home, NBC New York reports. According to the book's lore, if anyone touches the elf, the home might lose its Christmas magic - and Laperuta was worried Santa might be mad at her. Her mom was napping. Her dad was out. The first Home Alone movie remains the best. Here's the case as to why...
Spoilers lie ahead.
Compile a list of archetypical Christmas movies and sooner or later, you’ll have to put Home Alone on it. Whether you love or hate the film that made Macaulay Culkin a one-man cultural trainwreck, you have to admit that the basic concept – lone kid fends off attackers using household goods – is about as perfect a children’s movie as you can conceive. A mixture of wish-fulfilment and slapstick comedy, it’s a premise that’s virtually built to be done again and again.
Clearly someone agrees with this, because there have been four further Home Alone movies since the first was released in 1990. I know, because I was asked to watch them all and report back for Den of Geek. And I’ve done it. I’ve stared into the abyss,...

Kringle lives! (Almost always.)
Let's face it everybody, we live in a world where our childhood is constantly being ruined, we can't watch The Interview on Christmas (well, most of us can't), and there probably really Isn't a jolly old man who brings presents to the whole world one night a year like all the Christmas specials promised. What a weird, dumb world.
Alright... that's a little harsh, and we do have a lot to be thankful for this holiday season (like adorable kids with British accents gushing over Princess Leia).
Still though, holiday TV shows and movies totally have us beat when it comes to making St. Nick real. This is the story of why that is, as told by the ghosts of Christmas Present, Past, and Future. If you're afraid of ghosts, sorry, but we can't even help you there.

All season long, we were wondering if "Serial" was going to get a Saturday Night Live parody. Can a podcast get that big? This week's SNL proved, yes, it can. And it's a good thing, since it was pretty damn great. Unlike the Funny or Die "Serial" sketch from last week, SNL's sketch doesn't feel like just a run-through of inside jokes and memes — they actually turn it into something new, in turn heightening the comedy. Also, the impressions are seriously well-written and -performed. What it comes down to is, um, Christmas magic.

The ingredients for Saturday Night Live’s Christmas-themed episode – hosted by five-time Oscar nominee Amy Adams, with squeal-inducing musical guests One Direction and sketch-rich fodder from this week’s Sony Pictures/North Korea hacking scandal – had visions of guffaws dancing in our heads.
Though an all-over-the-place opening monologue — highlighted by a welcome cameo from SNL alum Kristin Wiig (“Isn’t this the second time you’ve crashed my monologue?” asked Adams) and a cast sing-along of “We Need a Little Christmas” – wasn’t exactly memorable, the show’s strongest moments managed to create just enough holiday cheer to make it worthwhile.

It’s a question heard throughout many homes during the holiday season. No, not “Who spiked the eggnog with lighter fuel?” We’re talking about the big man himself, Santa Claus, and whether or not he truly exists. I’m still out on this one, but it seems that one filmmaker firmly believes in Saint Nicholas. I love Lucy. You love Lucy. Everyone loves Lucy. And if you don't, go hang out with the Grinch, please.
CBS, original home of the 1951-1957 series, has a clever bit of Lucy programming for the holidays, "I Love Lucy Christmas Special," on Friday, Dec. 20.
Lucy fits the holiday special mold of family-suitable, and Santa hats are involved. The special features two episodes, both from 1956: "The Christmas Episode" and one of the all-time favorites, "Lucy's Italian Movie."
The episodes are colorized, which could incite purists to revolt. Take heart, though.
The colorization is excellent. Even Lucille Ball's hair, a shade of orange rarely found in nature, is right.
Though it's initially jarring to see their apartment colorized, the colors suit the times, shades of gray and slate walls. Lucy's flannel shirt, what she would have worn at home, is a blue plaid, and Little Ricky's feety pajamas are mint-colored.
