This Bucks!
Americamyfirstandonly11 November 2023
This show is where it's at. I'm surprised, as tough of a season as the Thunder had, you wouldn't know it from the show. I mean you would cuz the show shows them losing but what I mean is that the show isn't any more interesting or better cuz they're not winning. I'm liking Season 2 even more. Really interesting and well told human interest stories is how I would explain it. It really covers the whole sport and in a family friendly, wholesome way which is nice. They are badass bullriders but that's a given. I feel like I really get to know all the people. All the people involved. From the obvious people like the coaches and athletes but Johnny Morris himself, Randy Bernard, some famous faces throughout making appearances. You see and get to meet and get to know lots of family and people behind the scenes and that's not an after thought. It's clear the show wants you to get to know the whole PBR world, community and family. It's really refreshing engaging and entertaining. Please renew for Season 3. This along with the Teams season I was following along on Pluto TV, and CBS Sports and The Ride helps me get my fix. The events in person are great fun. On TV it's good but can be long. This is 20 minutes of good watching.

Ready For More
renaldome31 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Just finished binging Cowboys of Thunder with the family. Good family show. My 10 year old cousin really dug it. Ready for more PBR Teams this fall! Interesting show. Maybe starts a lil slow for my liking, but kept with it and episode 3 and 4 really gets going and episode 6 was a standout to me in the first half of series 1. Colten has the cutest baby girl. Fun to hear about all the cute couples and how they met and to see the life of these bullriders outside the arena. From episode 7 to the end I thought were the best episodes and where it really gets good! Loved getting to know Andrew, his story was the highlight for me. I'd say episode 11 is my favorite and the rodeo rig. Getting to see everything that went into building Thunder Ridge was really cool too. The show is very well done and put together, and I love the funny and clever titles and all the personalities. Even a bigger fan after watching this. I'd definitely recommend. Go Thunder!

Proud Fan
rudygumption2 September 2022
Bull riding isn't something I've ever followed before, but I must say that Cowboys of Thunder has drawn my attention. I never was a football fan either until the Seattle Seahawks... it's all about the personalities and teamwork connection. Loved Episode 1 - 5 wonderful draft picks and Missouri Thunder got the guys they wanted. So now I'm inspired to follow the sport. Behind-the-scenes and behind-the-chutes each cowboy competitor invites me into the arena of appreciation. This inaugural season of (PBR) Professional Bull Riding with Thunder Days at Big Cedar Lodge, sponsored by Bass Pro Shops, is full of anticipation, passionate enthusiasm, and promise. Excited for the future. Way to go Johnny! You've done it again!

Mother Mother!
perienceall17 October 2023
Go Brittany yay Mother Thunder! While this show is about Team Thunder love that it goes deeper just beyond the cowboys. I can tell whoever is behind it works really hard and care about the people who they're telling the stories about. It's done like it's prewritten if that's the right way to say it. Like it's a story with chapters and weaves together different stories like it was scripted. Just really well done. For anyone who thinks athletes or bull-riders are dumb jocks or quiet and dull, this show demonstrates and proves otherwise. Cowboys of Thunder isn't just for Missourians or PBR or rodeo fans, it's a well executed case study on young bovine athletes pursuing and living their dream lives. Really a quite fun and interesting watch. Not boring or predictable. Done with a lot of care and heart. Hoping and wanting more!

Getting better and better
lcanBeelett17 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Wasn't sure what season 2 would be like with practically a whole new cast of cowboys, but Ross is so fun and exciting to watch. Him and Andrew really make the show, so I thought but the show makes everyone really interesting. It's not all of the same all the time. It's interesting to see the progression and development. There's actually a story here. I follow the team as well and as tough of a season as the Thunder have had that hasn't compromised the show one bit, which seems pretty impressive to me. GO TEAM THUNDER and I'm not even from Missouri aha. Another good group of guys this season. Fun to watch and route for. Truly insightful and engaging to see the behind the scenes lives of these bull riders, the coaches even crew and families. Subtle changes I see from season 1 to 2 and I can tell they've stepped their game up and it makes for a really good show. Definitely worth watching and hoping for more seasons!

ROSS IS SO ENTERTAINING
eltonbrandname10 November 2023
THIS SHOW FOLLOWS THE WHOLE TEAM, AND THE WHOLE TEAM IS GREAT BUT ROSS IS JUST THE BEST! SO FUNNY, SO PASSIONATE AND FIERY. IT'S FANTASTIC TO SEE HIM BACK IN THE CHUTES, DOING WHAT HE LOVES, THERE'S NOTHING LIKE IT. TO GET TO SEE MORE ABOUT HIM AND HIS LIFE, FAMILY AND KIDS IT'S MUST WATCH TELEVISION. WORTH EVERY PENNY. GREAT ROLE MODEL, GREAT LEADER, GREAT COWBOY! WHAT A JOY TO WATCH HIM. I CAME FOR HIM AND STAYED FOR EVERYBODY ELSE AND EVERYTHING THIS SHOW HAS SHOWN. IT'S ABOUT THE THUNDER BUT YOU GET TO MEET AND KNOW SO MANY FOLKS. IT'S REALLY GOOD. REPRESENTS AND PAYS ITS RESPECTS TO EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THE PBR AND RODEO WORLD. PBR FAN OR NOT, WHICH YOU SHOULD BE, I RECOMMEND THIS FOR ANYONE AND EVERYONE. ROSS IS AS ENTERTAINING AS A PERSON THERE IS AND THE REST OF THE SHOW KEEPS UP WITH HIM. LOVE IT.

Can we get Season 3 on Prime??
admin-49311-063638 November 2023
This program is very well done. Have enjoyed watching with my grandkids. Watching on Cowboy Channel can be a bit hit or miss since we like to sit down together and watch when it's on, but it often isn't on or is delayed, but you can watch on demand so that's often what we'll do. I don't know why this show isn't more widely available. It should be. It's great quality. You would think a show like this would have a rather predictable format that follows the team at each event of their season, but it's far from it. It's been quite unexpected at times and unpredictable and in the best of ways. It's far from just being behind the scenes. It's on many levels more interesting and captivating than the bull riding itself. It's a fantastic compliment to the season and PBR events. You really get to know this team and everyone involved. Season 2 feels like the show is hitting its stride and at the same time like it's only scratching the surface. We're ready for more! It wonderfully captures so many stories. It's full of inspiration, motivation and has a lot of heart.

Well Worth the Ride
jcakid21 November 2023
What I like most about this show is that I've now become a fan and am more invested in the careers of all the bull riders the show introduces you to. Thanks to the show you really get to know them well. You see their similarities and differences, and it's pretty interesting to find out all the ways in which they're different like where they grew up and from different places outside America. Not all cowboys are the same of course. But now I feel like I know these men and their families which makes it more fun to route for them during the team season and the normal Unleash the Beast season. I'm liking the teams format and this show is the perfect compliment. Even though players move on and you get to meet different bull riders the show makes them all very interesting and likable and easy to route for. An inside look into their lives is really entertaining. Go Cowboys of Thunder!

Cowboy Cool - Worth A Watch
info-2281220 November 2023
Enjoyed Season One. Got rid of the one thing I disliked which was the animated part. I'm glad that's gone. Didn't make sense to me. Would consider this a family show, but that seemed too childish and not on brand. Other than that this is really really good. Entertaining in many ways. I think the show does a good job or catering to different audiences. Those that are avid followers of the PBR but also those who are new fans that were maybe introduced with the teams format. You see rides and you get behind the scenes. It is well balanced. It accompanies the season for those that are following along, but also for those that aren't, it keeps you in the loop and is easy to follow along with the team's season. You get to know the whole team, the whole crew, people behind the scenes. This is about the Missouri Thunder, but I like that it shows and pays its respect to the whole PBR world, rodeo and cowboy community as well. Season 2 stepped it up a notch. Feels like this is a really good, wholesome tight knit community and family, and I've enjoyed seeing their journey. The shows portrays everything through a rather positive lens, but at the same time feels authentic and true which I appreciate. I hope this show is renewed. There's a story arc and the story develops. It's pretty cool. I want to get to know these cowboys more. Have enjoyed hearing this teams story.

Biased but I ain't lying
Rainydaze811 November 2023
I'm related to someone on the show so while I am biased I guess in all fairness, I am so proud to see what good of a show they're a part of. It's super cool and exciting. Celeb in the family haha. Couldn't ask for a better team, coaches, cowboys, owner and homefield. I have loved every minute. As a fan and in support of my loved one, I followed the PBR Teams season and watched it all. So even though I know what happened and what to expect when I tune in to watch I'm really actually surprised how much more there is to know and see. Knowing the faces behind the masks, and under the cowboy hats makes routing for my #1 and everyone else even that much more. Since careers are often shortlived to have these events and stories chronicled basically are like special time capsules of moments they'll never forget. The show takes what these boys do seriously and capture and tell it very well. The passion and love for what they do shines through the screen. Even if my guy isn't in an episode, I'm still watching it. It's that good!

Great Job 4th Henry Productions!
Rnhchamby30 November 2023
John, Caleb, Jenna and the rest of the crew have produced a great show! Excellent quality, well done! Wonderful interviews, music, and sights from all across the country. It's enlightening to see and hear so many different cowboy's stories, meet their families and get a behind the scenes look into their lives. The second season takes an even deeper look at some of the people on the team and in the organization which I loved. Getting to know some of the women behind all the cowboys was a pleasant surprise and welcome addition. There are so many people on this show but the way you are introduced to them is done so well and I felt like I really got to know each and every one of them. Great insight into the fascinating lives of bull riders and cowboy culture.

OMG episode 12 y'all BEST YET Cowboys of Thunder has so much heart! Bravo Brava yeehaw! Outdone yourselves. I was waiting to see more of Kade all season but it was worth the wait! How everything is like tied together and comes together blows my mind. The last few episodes have been especially moving, inspiring and beautiful. My favorite episodes to date have been: A New Frontier, Primo Supreme and the Outlaw Kings, The Real Deal and Band of Brothers, Drive Fast, Take Chances and episodes 9 - 13 from season one and in season two, loved the premier, and I can't narrow it down. Loved em all. Loved hearing everyone's story and we only got like half the team. But Mother Thunder and Marcelo, more Luke and Ross. Really loving it!

LOVE THIS SHOW!!!
jamfoxxtrot9 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
There's no better show that I've seen that tells stories of bull riders. Funny, intense, wholesome and fun. Some of the episodes in season two are some of my favorite episodes I've seen in recent memory. Episode 9 and 10 were truly fantastic! It's not so easy to find a show the whole family can watch that my husband is interested in and that is appropriate and entertaining for the kids but this is it! The show is really well made and the story is easy to follow but it's told remarkably well and feels genuine and authentic. It doesn't seem in the least bit contrived or like it's produced or trying to make it more than it is or something it's not if you know what I mean. These guys are entertaining just as they are and to hear everyone's story and to follow their journey is a whole lot of family fun. You think you know what's coming next but it's keeping us on our toes. Loving this series more and more with each episode!

Bingeworthy
OneBadMO4 December 2023
Just finished watching the last two episodes. Our family liked it a lot. Enjoyed both seasons. Love the Coleman family. Ross has a beautiful family. Lots of fun seeing and getting to meet his wife and boys. Unlike some other shows I've watched, I found Cowboys of Thunder easy to follow and it does jump around a lot to different places, many different states, but again very clear and fun to follow along. We're moderately interested in the PBR and this show checks all the boxes. We got to see how the season went, what's going on behind the scenes and it moves along more quickly than the events themselves. The pace improved with PBR Teams in year two but sometimes it still can be a little too slow for my liking, but it's still a very new format and it improved a lot year over year, so I'm optimistic. This show doesn't give you any real update on the rest of the teams but that's not to be expected since it only follows the Missouri Thunder. However, in both seasons, but I'd say especially the case in season two, the show introduces you to many different folks around the PBR and in the community. Some of the women involved, not just wives or girlfriends, and people other than just the bull riders and coaches. Everyone though that is introduced on the show is very interesting and engaging. It's apparent that this show isn't just focused or made for entertainment value, yet it genuinely is entertaining. Not trying to be dramatic or scripted. I appreciate that it felt very genuine in its messaging. I particularly liked the Role Models episode and that that theme continued on which was done well, emphasizing it's importance but not being redundant or preachy. My teen who's away at school has even texted me about the show. That's noteworthy at least to me haha. Inspiring family fun. 5/5 or 10/10 we're fans of Cowboys of Thunder.

Good Job Cowboy!
cke-0781630 November 2023
Outstanding! So so good! Wow! I'm blown away. The finale left me speechless. I'll say it again. Outstanding! What a brilliant show. I need to watch it again. The last episode made me emotional. That was profoundly good. Holy smokes. So powerful, intense, emotional, real, raw, genuine, authentic and moving. Everyone needs to know about this show. Honestly the finale is as good of an episode as anything I've ever seen. Loved every second of it. Every second of the whole season was fan flipping fantastic. I need to know what happens next with Kade, Palo, Felipe, Andrew, Marcelo, JLC and the rest of the team. Ready for more!

Keeping it Real
dcalvinet16 January 2024
To be real, this show probably isn't for me, but I like it still. I did like that there was more diversity and inclusion in season two. But I did make it through all of season one, mainly cuz of Primo. Mostly all white peeps in season one. Bull riding is at least a little more diverse than one might expect, and thankfully season two demonstrated/reflected that with several Brazilians on the team. They all seem like good dudes and they had their moments. That was dope, as is bull riding and I'm getting into Teams. A friend of mine showed me one episdoe from season 2 and I thought it was great. Episode was Crash Course. I did a viewing party with some friends to watch some more episodes. Initially I was gonna stop watching after the first two episodes. They were eh but my friend told me to keep watching. I got more into it. I liked it more when the show traveled around to the homes of the different guys. Then I liked the second season more. I liked having the narration and it seemed like the show stepped it up. I agree with what someone else wrote as a review about the animation in season one haha. Random. That was weird imo, but my friend she thought it was cute haha. Just a subjective thing I guess. Please get this show on Tubi, Roku, Pluto TV, or Freevee 🙏 Much appreciated.

Stay With Me
edy0421 January 2024
My wife wanted to watch Maestro. I obliged. Something she wanted to watch that looked romantic and I like Bradley Cooper, so we watched it. We both thought it was pretty dull. Neither of the characters or their love story was the least bit interesting. The trailer was the best part. She told me that she had watched an interview with Cooper about the making of the movie and that he wanted to focus on the two characters love story and he found it to be really interesting and people would relate to it. That got my wife's interest. We watched until the end a bit reluctantly tbh but both of us were like why was that the choice Cooper came to. We both thought their relationship was boring and not worthy of making a movie out of. Which got me to thinking. Yes this review is about Cowboys of Thunder. I said stay with me. I don't know enough about filmmaking but in the first season it was very clear that Clayton was very charismatic and felt like the star of the show in many respects. In the second season the focus is much more on Ross and Luke, and some of the other bull riders too, but it felt even more engaging without Clayton. Nothing against him or any of the people this show follows. Got me thinking though who to attribute the entertainment value to. The director, the editor, the interviewers, producers? Pretty sure the show is unscripted, but I have much respect and appreciation for how well it's crafted. It's not written but it feels like it. So a captivating personality doesn't automatically or necessarily make for a captivating movie or series. The way this show connected things made it feel like it was written. Very balanced. Great detail in getting to know a lot of different people. Like my favorite kind of shows it's funny but also serious and truly well made. I'm definitely more interested in western culture than conductors and classical music but I can admit I'll enjoy one of my wife's movies if it's a good movie not too proud to admit that, but I think this show and what inspired me to write a review is just that the subject matter of a show or movie doesn't really matter, it's the execution. That's the conclusion I came to. That just really hit home for me. Maestro was a very well done movie I would still say like the quality and production but underwhelming story. I'm sure this show doesn't have a big production but they knocked it out of the park in terms of telling this teams story and peoples backstories. The way season 2 ended was great and gripping, and left me wanting to know how everyone's off-season is going and how young team Thunder is getting on, what the dynamics are like. Kind of a low key cliffhanger. Don't know who will be back or on the team again. That's also kind of exciting to not know. Hoping there will be a third season. I'm for it. So it's a pass on Maestro and even my wife would've rather watched a couple of episodes of Cowboys of Thunder instead! Bravo Cowboys.
