- Vinny weighs his options - stay at the Jersey Shore house or head home to Staten Island. Snooki fights with Jionni and the roommates are back to their usual antics - partying and tanning to the extreme.
- Welcome back to Jersey, where Vinny explains that he has "nothing left in me ... I want to go home." Vinny is anxious and missing his family. Ronnie suggests that Vinny try to relax. Pauly promises that it will all be better once they hit the club and find some ladies. Sounds like good advice.
The Situation, meanwhile, is at the club finding some ladies. He meets up Paula, a friend with benefits that he met during their first summer at the shore. After running back to the house through a rainstorm, Snooki asks The Situation if Jionni can borrow a shirt. "I'm like, 'Sure, we share girls; why can't we share underwear?'" The Situation tells the camera. Later, The Situation and Jionni cook a late-night breakfast together, making Snooki very nervous.
And with good reason. The Situation is clearly messing with Jionni and just waiting for the right moment to announce that he had "relations" with Snooki, too. The next morning, the inexplicable Vinny situation grows odder when he refuses to go to work. He is too distraught. Snooki, meanwhile, calls Jionni, who begs her not to drink too much later that evening. "You just have to respect me for who I am," Snooki tells him with a straight face.
Vinny eventually shows up at work and confides in Danny. "I am maturing and I'm not afraid to talk about my anxiety," he says. "I have clinical anxiety." Turns out Vinny has been suffering from anxiety since he was a teenager. He returns home to find that Pauly has planned a "guy's day." So the guys head out to get manicures and pedicures (seriously). It appears to lift Vinny's spirits. Later that night, Pauly is in physical pain. Because he had no tan in Italy, he overdid it in Jersey. Now, his face is fire-engine red. "I never thought in a million years I'd tell someone in this house to stop tanning," Snooki says.
Time to get ready for Karma! Deena is sooooo excited. Snooki is also terribly, terribly excited -- so excited that she organizes a few rounds of shots before anybody leaves the house. Moments later, the gang arrives at the club. "I finally feel back in my element," Deena tells the camera. She is soon making out with a former flame named Damien while Snooki gets drunker and drunker. She soon falls on the ground. Jionni begins to get angry. Ronnie understands. "It's not like you're with your girlfriend, it's like you're taking care of your child," he tells the camera. So Jionni and Snooki leave the club early and walk home.
The rest of the gang soon arrives home. Everybody has someone with them except for Vinny, who still hasn't returned to his normal, happy self. A few hours later, Pauly decides to call his girl a cab (it's 4 a.m.) because he likes to "get it in" and then "get some sleep." The next morning, Pauly awakens to find that his favorite diamond chain is missing. He is distraught. Did the girl he kicked out of his bed at 4 a.m. take it? MTV video reveals that she did, though Pauly doesn't know it. Moments later, there is a knock on the door. It is Pauly's girl -- wearing the diamond chain! She claims not to remember taking it. "I feel like the girl just took Pauly's chain so she could come back the next morning and probably try to smash," Snooki tells the camera. "I would do that."
Ronnie then takes Vinny to the boardwalk in an attempt to cheer him up. But Vinny isn't having it. "I need rest -- not like sleep rest, but rest," he explains. Living with the craziness in the house is not helping him get back on track. Vinny then announces that he is no longer drinking. His roommates are sympathetic, but don't make a similar pledge to sobriety. Ronnie, The Situation and the ladies then head back to Karma. Pauly stays behind to hang with his boy Vinny. Soon, however, Vinny calls his sister to come pick him up. "It's best for me," he explains. "I need to get better. I'm doing what's best for myself."
So Pauly watches sadly while Vinny packs. "I feel the worst leaving Pauly," Vinny tells the camera. Watching this historic bromance end -- or at least take a hiatus -- is indeed difficult. Vinny then climbs into a cab and leaves. Will he be back? Will Pauly find a new bro? Will the rest of the roommates ever return from Karma? Tune in next week.
