• [Arya looks worriedly at the Twins from across the river, while the Hound eats some pig's feet from the farmer's stolen wagon] 

  Arya Stark : No one's going to believe you're a hog farmer if you eat them all.

  Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane : [waves a pig's foot at Arya]  Best part of the animal.

  [pause] 

  Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane : Don't worry, they're still there.

  Arya Stark : I know they're still there.

  Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane : You check every five minutes like you're afraid they're gonna move.

  Arya Stark : I'm not afraid.

  Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane : 'Course you are. You're almost there. And you're afraid you won't make it. The closer you get, the worse the fear gets. No point in trying to hide behind that face. I know fear when I see it. Seen it a lot.

  Arya Stark : I knew fear when I saw it in you. You're afraid of fire. When Beric's sword went up in flames, you looked like a scared little girl. And I know why, too. I heard what your brother did to you. Pressed your face to the fire like you're a nice, juicy muttonchop.

  Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane : That give you some ideas?

  Arya Stark : Might do.

  Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane : Go ahead, then. You might get away. Might even make it there on your own. They're just over the river. Closest you've been to family since Ilyn Payne snipped your daddy's neck.

  [Arya turns and walks right up to the Hound] 

  Arya Stark : [coldly]  Someday, I'm gonna put a sword through your eye and out the back of your skull.

  [pause, then Arya turns and goes back to looking across the river] 

• [Arya and the Hound come across a farmer trying to fix his wagon] 

  Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane : [handing the horse's reins to Arya]  Remember what happens to children who run. I'm your father, and I'll do the talking.

  [the Hound walks over to the farmer] 

  Hog Farmer : Roads have gone right to hell, haven't they? Cracked three spokes this morning.

  Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane : Need a hand?

  Hog Farmer : Need about eight hands.

  [the Hound lifts the cart up by himself so the farmer can replace the wheel] 

  Hog Farmer : Got to get this salt pork to the Twins in time for the wedding. Many thanks.

  [the Hound punches the farmer, knocking him out cold, and draws a dagger; Arya runs over to stop him] 

  Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane , Hog Farmer , Arya Stark : Don't! Don't kill him!

  Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane : Dead rats don't squeak.

  Arya Stark : You're so dangerous, aren't you? Saying scary things to little girls. Killing little boys and old people. A real hard man you are.

  Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane : More than anyone you know.

  Arya Stark : You're wrong. I know a killer. A real killer.

  Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane : That so?

  Arya Stark : You'd be like a kitten to him. He'd kill you with his little finger.

  Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane : [nodding at the unconscious farmer]  That him?

  [Arya looks at the farmer then back at the Hound, confused] 

  Arya Stark : No...?

  Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane : Good.

  [the Hound steps forward, but Arya shoves him back again] 

  Arya Stark : Don't kill him! Please! Please don't.

  Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane : [sheathes his dagger]  You're very kind. Someday it'll get you killed.

  [the farmer groans and stirs; Arya picks up a piece of wood and knocks him out again, then walks away as the Hound looks after her in surprise]
