All over the place
fakeimmigrant15 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I just wrapped up watching all 30 episodes of the show's first (and thus far only) season. Like the other review of this show, the start of the series is all over the place, with no real focus. You're led to believe this all about Aljosa (played by the popular rapper, Voyage) and his struggles of juggling his father's dreams of him being a successful boxer with his own dreams of making it big in music. While that plays a part in the beginning, Aljosa ends up being just another character in an ensemble cast of young Serbs in the Belgrade-suburb of Zemun.

The young cast isn't that bad. At first I found Aljosa's sister Milica to be kind of one-dimension but she got better as the show progressed. At the same time, I found the actress that plays Vanja (Ivana Zecevic) to be the stand out of the group. I think she does a good job juggling her drunk (and eventually absent) father's cafe, her own various love interests, and the antics of her brother Filip.

As for the adult characters in the series, they all kind of just "disappear" at different points in the series. Vanja's father plays a key role in the season's first arc, then disappears to "sober himself". Then you have Aljosa and Milica's parents go on vacation around episode 22 and not return. The only "established" actor who stays throughout the series (not including Simke's grandmother who I would consider a side character) is Sergej Trifunovic, who plays Aljosa and Milica's free-spirited uncle. Considering how small the Ex-Yu actor pool is, I suspect Branka Katic, Nikola Kojo, and Nebojsa Dugalic all had other committments and couldn't stick around for 30 episodes.

Story arcs go all over the place. In addition to the adult characters disappearing, Simke's grandmother's dementia/alzheimer is briefly addressed then forgotten about. We get a new character introduced with three episodes remaining, with that storyline not really seeing a proper conclusion. Then the season ends with a cliffhanger as an early character makes a 'surprise' return.

It does sound like a second season is expected. If that's the case, I do hope they address all the storylines from the first season, tidy up all the loose ends then try to keep things more focused.

Mediocre
madbacterium19 September 2022
From episode to episode, nothing is happening, just the characters having some empty dialogs. The most of the characters are not acting, but behave as acting or like let's act. Some of our famous actors played meticulously poor. There is no plot at all, just some stories of life of people who are not fully explored. The ambijent is not representing our environment, and hardly any other. From time to time, there is a nice shot or picture of places or people. The music is hardly following the story and is sometimes low dramatic. Branka Katic is outstanding only. All in all as if this is made for preadolescents.

You should be ashamed of yourself...

Worst thing i seen in a very long time, watched all episodes and i don't know how i made it until the end and why. Director and Producers can easy retired themselves cause they dont know nothing about Cinematography or this new age Genre. Story and Plot are non existable. So call storyline is so slow paced that in time i wanna kill myself. Young "Actors" doing shorcuts as 90% of this new Generation of Actors do. In time to much sterile and fake. There is no balance. 60% of scenes are looking very good as shot, but everything else is just laughable. On rest 40% i am not gona even speak...Veteran actors who show in previous Movies and Series that they can do a quality job, CANT! Cause who made a script need to find new job as soon as posible, and not in film industry. Overall very poor and i can recommend it only to people who dont care what are they watching or have some background noise when they scroll on their phones...

you shouldn't waste your time on this program

I couldn't make it to the end; I don't even know why I started watching the show "U KLINCU". I like TV series and movies based on true events, but this is not my genre at all. However, after watching 10 episodes, I think that's enough for an opinion: you shouldn't waste your time on this program that even has a second season. Even the best actors are unconvincing, the language they speak is not realistic, the dialogues are poor, and everything boils down to the appearance of a pop star. He's personally likable to me, but not enough to continue watching a poor program because of him. All in all, a waste of money and time.
