The character of Chuy was written with a Mexican actor in mind. The actor cancelled one day before filming was set to begin and Bryan C Dunn was brought in as a replacement with the director intending to change his character's name to fit the new actor's description. When Bryan was made aware of this he insisted on his character still being called Chuy as it would add an extra layer of comedy. Immediately on the same wavelength, the director readily agreed and the name stayed.
Michael was pleased to offer roles to colleagues from his time spent studying theatre at Cal State Fullerton. They had graduated over 20 years prior to this start of production and some of them he had not seen in all that time since then. Jocelyn had served as a lead in his very first film, "The Bus Stop" that filmed immediately after their graduation. It is now available to be seen on YouTube. A portion of it can be heard playing on the television in the dark bedroom scene with her character Sheena watching it in season one, episode three.
Episode one originally premiered on August 20, 2022 on Amazon Prime Video.
Season 2 of this series is currently in active development and a number of certain cast, writing and directing talent, cinematographers and producers are already on board to return.
The series actually began as only a one off short film about Eddie trying to escape a dangerous gang of thugs that he borrowed money from and receives help from his brother, Hunter. As production went on for the day, T.J, Michael and Josh realized what an incredible time they were having on set and then started talking about a sequel- which Michael offered to script. It soon became a series that became based on Josh's initial short film idea and expanded the troubled world of both brothers.
