"Willy Wanker", the person whose telephone line Sean inherited and whose gay phone sex business Sean has taken over, is able to track Sean down, and won't leave him alone until Sean gives him his telephone line and by association his livelihood back to him. Because he lives primarily off the grid anyway, Sean believes he can outlast whatever Willy may try to throw his way in achieving his end goal. Paul is excited about his blog taking off, which was only possible because of Joy Kleinman. And Adam, Andrea and Sean all find out about Cathy and Paul wanting to adopt a baby, one of the three who has an openly and publicly negative reaction. It may all be for naught as they find out from an adoption lawyer that Cathy still having cancer is a certain deal breaker. Regardless, Cathy fantasizes about her "perfect" life with this new addition in what she considers a safe environment, and she seizes what she sees as an opportunity to achieve that dream. The Willy Wanker, blog and baby issues are all taken to the next level after Cathy, Paul and Sean attend Joy's latest seminar, to which she invited Paul and Cathy with ulterior motives. Meanwhile, Jesse tries to demonstrate to Adam in a substantive way that "God is watching over them". Leading out of Jesse's demonstration, she gives Adam a surprising offer.
