The Bar scenes were filmed at Pompilio's in Newport, Kentucky. Other such films as Rain Man and Airborne were filmed at this historic eatery.
Look Number 7 is named in homage to British comedian Benny Hill's popular sketch entitled "Comic Look No. 7." Supposedly the look is straight out of the "Comedian's Handbook," and is described as being a mixture of sadness and surprise. The "Comic Look No. 7" was Benny Hill's official definition for a sketch that would end with a twist that the audience could usually see coming but the poor guy involved could not.
The writers borrowed from the legend of famous lawman Doc Holliday to create the the title character. His name is misspelled on purpose.
Originally formed to become apart of the Cincinnati 48 Hour Film Project, the team Look Number 7 (Sometimes spelled Lo_Ok Number 7) came together a second time to be apart of of the National Film Challenge. Doc Holiday the Movie is the team's first entry into the National Film Challenge and its second film.
