This highly dramatic, highly emotional short was, in my opinion, cut together really brilliantly. Great editing job. The pacing was just right and the cut-aways seemed to happen at just the right moments, furthering the suspense and dramatic impact. And when there were no cutaways, I think the director made really great choices for these moments, as sometimes the acting was so powerful (lead actress Bri Prooker just about gave me a heart attack in her powerful, haunting final scene) that cuts or even camera movement wasn't necessary –it was like the audience just got to be a fly on the wall and just intensified how real those moments felt. The diner scene in the beginning almost had a Quentin Tarantino-esque feel to it, which I really liked. As did the final scene. Both are shot with the two leads sitting across a table from each other and I really liked this symmetry and almost foreshadowing of what's to come. I think Bri Prooker should definitely star in a Tarantino film one day. That would be awesome. That girl's got definite star-quality and I bet we'll all be seeing a lot of her on the big screen soon!
